Chris Brown Implores Fans To Recognize His Greatness In New Rant: “Don’t Wait Till I’m Gone To Realize That!”

Chris Brown is not one to hold back how he feels and he has certainly proved that over the past couple of days. About two days ago, the longtime, controversial, R&B superstar sent out a flurry of comments directed toward the mainstream media and “fake celebrities.” This latest fiery Chris Brown rant went down on his Instagram story and many were speculating who he was taking aim at directly. “I DONT WANT TO BE ACCEPTED FROM NONE OF THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND FAKE CELEBRITIES. I AM KING IN MY OWN LANE,” Brown said.

“YOUR FAVE AINT GOT S*** ON ME AND THEY KNOW IT. AINT FINNA TAP DANCE FOR APPROVAL. YOU WILL BEG FORGIVENESS OF ME THAT I DO KNOW.” Some were thinking this has a lot to do with the NBA and the complications with All-Star Weekend. Quavo‘s name was also brought up after their awkward encounter at Paris Fashion Week. After going scorched earth, you might think Chris Brown is done with the rants, but he is far from it.

Does This Rant Hurt Or Help Chris Brown?

DJ Akademiks recently shared another screenshot from Breezy’s IG. This message is much shorter, but definitely really tries to hammer home his previous point. “There will never be another CHRIS BROWN! Don’t wait till I’m gone to realize that!” Some fans shared his opinion, but others, not so much. “Bro hasnt snapped since look at me now and hasnt went on a run like his kiss kiss wall to wall run ever bro needs to put down the nose sugar,” one fan writes back.

What are your thoughts on Chris Brown continuing his rant saying there will not be another him? Do you agree with his take, why or why or not? What separates him from other artists in his space? Chris Brown Says He Won’t “Tap Dance For Approval” In Rant Against Mainstream Media

Chris Brown lashed out against his detractors, targeting the mainstream media and “fake celebrities.” The R&B singer declared he would never seek the public’s acceptance and boasted about his status in an Instagram Stories post.

“I don’t want to be accepted from none of the mainstream media and fake celebrities,” he wrote. “I am king in my own lane. Your fave ain’t got s### on me and they know it. Ain’t finna tap dance for approval. You will beg forgiveness of me. That I do know.”

Brown posted the rant weeks after he called out the NBA for removing him from the 2024 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. He claimed the NBA disinvited due to pressure from the event’s sponsor. Ruffles denied playing a role in Brown’s exclusion from the game.

“Ruffles sponsored [the] NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, however Ruffles did not have any involvement in, nor visibility to, any player decisions or celebrity invite discussions,” the brand said in a statement.

Brown responded by accusing Ruffles of lying. He said the brand was trying to avoid backlash from his fans.

“@RUFFLES,” he wrote. “I guess yall tryna save face now! STAND ON BUSINESS. Don’t try to make it look like I’m trippin. YOU AND THE NBA representatives know exactly what yall are doin!”

He added, “I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE. YALL KNOW I DON’T CHASE CLOUT! The only reason they responded is because of all the team breezy fans flooding they s###. Stop f###### playing with me! SEE HOW FAKE THIS S### IS… COWARDS!! YALL KNOW DAMN WELL I AIN’T LYING BECAUSE I NEVER BE ON THIS TYPE OF TIME. These b###### (@ruffles) tryna save face!”

Brown became a controversial figure after he beat his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault.

Chris Brown Claps Back at Ruffles After NBA All-Star Celebrity Game Snub

Chris Brown’s defiant message comes after he expressed his frustration with the NBA last month after they initially invited him and then rescinded their offer for him to participate in the All-Star Celebrity Game on Feb. 17. The “Sensational” singer claimed the NBA allegedly withdrew their invitation due to concerns from potential sponsors over his presence at the event. Breezy cited Ruffles as one of those sponsors.

A day later, Ruffles issued a statement denying any involvement in the player decisions or celebrity invites for the event.

Despite Ruffles’ statement, Brown blasted the potato chip brand on his IG Story claiming they were attempting to salvage its reputation for their alleged actions of keeping him away from the All-Star Celebrity Game.

“[Ruffles] [five blue emoji caps] I guess yall tryna save face now!” Brown wrote in his message below. “STAND ON BUSINESS. Don’t try to make it look like I’m trippin. YOU AND THE NBA representatives know exactly what yall are doin.”

It looks like Chris Brown is not going to tolerate disrespect anymore.

Dreamville Festival 2024 Lineup: J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Chris Brown & More

The wait is finally over: we now have the official lineup and headliners for the Dreamville Festival this year in Raleigh, North Caroline. Moreover, tickets are still available here, and it will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7 at the Dorothea Dix Park six years after its original inception. The festival’s headliners are none other than J. Cole himself, Nicki Minaj, SZA, and Chris Brown. Other performers are the following: JID, ScHoolboy Q, Lil Yachty, Sexyy Red, Jeremih, EARTHGANG, Teezo Touchdown, Amaarae, Lute, Luh Tyler, Domani, Rema, Jeezy, Monica, Rae Sremmurd, Key Glock, Bas, Muni Long, Cozz, Omen, TiaCorine, and Chase Shakur.

Furthermore, this is shaping up to be a pretty stacked year when it comes to artist-led music festivals. For example, Jack Harlow recently announced his inaugural Gazebo Music Festival in Louisville Kentucky on Memorial Day weekend (May 25 and 26) this year. The lineup actually has some crossover with the Dreamville Festival, as expected for festival seasons, with SZA and Amaarae also hitting the stage at Gazebo. But the most exciting part about this lineup is the names that you might not catch anywhere else, such as what is presumably ScHoolboy Q’s first performance after dropping his new album BLUE LIPS.

Dreamville Festival 2024: See Lineup

Meanwhile, we already knew that Nicki Minaj was headlining, but her comments on the London festival Wireless might suggest her excitement for Dreamville. “Instead of doing another arena show in London after we sold out in the first week, I opted to do Wireless Festival,” she said of her U.K. travels. “This year’s show will be a billion times more special, creative, beautiful, cohesive, ugh! I’m so excited. I’d like to tell you guys thank you in advance. Last year was so meaningful but won’t compare. Just wait & see.”

As such, maybe this will be her big chance to show out for Raleigh during her Pink Friday 2 world tour. Who would you be the most excited to see on this lineup, and are you copping tickets for the record label’s special event? Whatever the case, drop your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, check back in with HNHH for the latest on these artists, Dreamville, and more music festivals.

Chris Brown Announces 2024 Tour Dates With The Help Of Ayra Starr & Muni Long

Chris Brown‘s hitting the road yet again this summer, and fellow musicians Ayra Starr and Muni Long will join him on the trek. Moreover, the 11:11 tour will kick off on June 5 in Detroit, Michigan and will cover many United States cities, as well as some Canadian spots; namely Montréal (June 20), Toronto (June 22), and Vancouver (July 27). The trio will embark on this journey for about two months before wrapping things up in Los Angeles, California on August 6. For those interested, the artist presale (password SENSATIONAL) goes live tomorrow (Wednesday, March 6) at 10AM, whereas the general public will gain access to tickets on Monday (March 11) at 10AM. Both time zones for the drop are unspecified, but they are presumably Eastern Time.

Furthermore, the “BEG FORGIVENESS” singer’s special guests are dividing duties. Ayra Starr will join the tour for its first few dates, performing from Detroit to Toronto from June 5 to June 22. Then, Muni Long will hit Chris Brown’s stage for a show in Boston, and then he’ll have two solo shows in Philly and Baltimore before bringing Long back for the remainder of the July and August dates. Seems like a pretty promising lineup for breezy summer days, right?

Chris Brown’s 11:11 Tour With Ayra Starr & Muni Long: See Dates

As such, fans are pretty excited about this new run of shows, even if the Virginia native has some heavier stuff on his mind. Reports recently emerged that he could lose his home to cover for his alleged $1.76 million debt to Popeyes in their legal case. For those unaware, the company sued Chris Brown and accused him of failing to fulfill his financial obligations for two restaurant locations that he invested in. Not only that, but the court is not obligated to warn him of when authorities could seize certain assets to reclaim the money they are supposedly owed

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see whether there are any promotional or partnership hiccups for the 11:11 tour. After all, the 34-year-old accused Ruffles of blocking him from the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game recently. Although he is still reckoning with his past crimes, the debate on how far this leniency should go is a heated one. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest updates and more news on Chris Brown.

Chris Brown Could Lose Home Amid $1.76 Million Popeyes Debt

Back in late September of last year, Chris Brown was handed down a $2 million dollar lawsuit from Popeyes. The fast-food chicken establishment has become a staple in the business even with its fellow counterparts like KFC, Church’s, and more. It is part of the reason why the R&B superstar invested in two locations. However, he has not held up his end of the deal as according to the documents from City National Bank. Brown owed $22,140,901.74 in unpaid principal and interest. The lawsuit was filed in California. The singer still has not fulfilled that request about six months later, meaning the consequences are now more serious.

This latest update comes from The Neighborhood Talk and Hollywood Unlocked. They both report that he has exactly 30 days to pay back the outstanding debt. However, instead of just forking over money, Brown could be in danger of losing some of his prized possessions. Those include his home, wages, and money.

Chris Brown Owes Popeyes Big Money

All three assets would help pay back the balance. On top of that, the court could do so without notifying Brown. “This court may order that a writ of execution or other enforcement may issue. Your wages, money, and property could be taken without further warning from the court,” the filing reads. In Hollywood Unlocked‘s piece, they reported that the new amount is $1,760,654.11. That information came through from BNN.

What are your thoughts on Chris Brown’s massive amount of debt he owes to Popeyes? How do you think this will play out? Why do you think he got behind by so much? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Suge Knight Thinks It’s Unfair Chris Brown Loses Opportunities

Suge Knight thinks it’s unfair that Chris Brown loses opportunities for his past abuse toward women while Dr. Dre doesn’t.

Suge Knight Reacts to Chris Brown NBA Celebrity All-Star Game Issue

On Sunday (Feb. 18), Suge Knight reacted to news of Chris Brown’s invitation to play in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game being rescinded, which was rumored to be due to Brown’s 2009 arrest for assaulting Rihanna. In the jail call, which can be heard below, the former Death Row CEO calls out the fact that Dr. Dre’s name is on the Grammys’ Global Impact Award, despite Dre infamously assaulting reporter Dee Barnes in 1991 and abuse allegations levied against Dre from singer Michel’le.

“You can have a man that’s part of that secret society and they gonna give him an award. The Impact Award,” Suge says in the clip below. “The muthaf**ka that done beat up more b****es than anybody. This man get an award for beating up women. Chris Brown is stripped from his crown.”

Suge continues: “I’m not saying it was right how him and Rihanna got into it and they had a fight or he beat her up. I’m not saying that. But what I’m saying is this. He had a fight with one woman. Or he beat up one woman and they still casting stone at him. They don’t give him his cigar. They don’t let him come perform. They don’t let him pretty much win awards. But you can have an Impact Award for Andre.”

James Brown’s Daughter Says There Would Be No Hip-Hop Without Him

The daughter of singer James Brown believes there would be no hip-hop without her father.

James Brown’s Daughter Says There Would Be No Hip-Hop Without Her Iconic Dad’s Music

In an interview published by People on Monday (Feb. 19), the legendary James Brown’s daughter, Dr. Deanna Brown Thomas, joined her sister Dr. Yamma Brown to discuss James Brown: Say it Loud, A&E’s new documentary series about their father. On the subject of hip-hop culture, Deanna is of the belief that there would not be any rap music if it were not for James Brown’s music.

“There would be no hip-hop,” Dr. Deanna Brown tells People in the exclusive interview. “There would be no rap because he’s [James Brown] the most-sampled artist. There would be no Michael [Jackson], there would be no Usher, there’d be no Chris Brown—all these people who took from him.”

Deanna adds: “I mean where would it be? You could ask a lot of these musicians, they’ll tell you the same thing. It would probably be zero. I think LL [Cool J] says that in the documentary that the trajectory of music would be—he can’t even imagine where it would be without James Brown.”

James Brown’s Undeniable Influence on Rap Music

While Deanna Brown’s opinion that hip-hop wouldn’t exist without her father is certainly a bold statement, James Brown’s influence on rap music is undeniable. Given the fact that Brown is one of the most prominent funk artists of all time, his music has been sampled in countless hip-hop beats throughout rap’s entire existence.

Songs like 1976’s “Get Up Offa That Thing” have been used for tracks like Kendrick Lamar’s “XXX” while Brown’s 1974 banger “Funky President (People It’s Bad)” has been sampled twice by Kanye West alone in “Clique” featuring Big Sean and Jay-Z and “F*k Sumn” with Ty Dolla $ign, Playboi Carti and Travis Scott, respectively.

James Brown’s most sampled song is 1970’s “Funky Drummer.” The immediately recognizable breakbeat serves as the driving force in some of the most well-known hip-hop tracks including Public Enemy’s “Fight the Power,” Dr. Dre’s “Let Me Ride” and Jaz-O’s “The Originators” featuring Jay-Z.
