Post Malone & Quavo Perform “Congratulations” At Rolling Loud

Post Malone brought out Quavo for a performance of their iconic collaboration, “Congratulations,” at Rolling Loud in California on Saturday night. Malone was the headliner for the third night of the festival. Earlier in the festival, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign kicked things off as headliners for a controversial set on Thursday night, while Nicki Minaj took over the event on Friday night. The festivities will continue Sunday with Future and Metro Boomin headlining the final night.

Post Malone and Quavo released “Congratulations” back in 2016 as the fifth official single from Malone’s debut studio album, Stoney. The song peaked at number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100. The RIAA has since certified it Diamond (11× Platinum).

Metro Boomin previously detailed how the collaboration between he two came together during an appearance on the Full Send podcast in 2022. “He called me, and so I came to the studio one day,” Metro said at the time. “The same day, I was supposed to pull up on Quavo, on the same night. So, he called me while I was [working] with Post and said, ‘Where are you? What are you doing?’ So, I pulled Post to the side and said, ‘Man, you ever did a song with Quavo?’ He said, ‘Nah, but that would be dope though.’” Check out a clip of Malone during Rolling Loud below.

Quavo Gives Kirk Cousins New Nickname After Atlanta Falcons Signing

Quavo is ecstatic about the Atlanta Falcons bringing in veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins in free agency. Taking to Instagram on Monday, he commented on the news: “We having plenty chains down here ice em out Kirk Frost.” Cousins agreed to terms on a four-year, $180 million contract with the team in desperate need of a player at the position.

He joins a roster loaded with young talent on offense. In recent years, they’ve drafted Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts. The team also just moved on from former head coach Arthur Smith. Raheem Morris took over the job earlier this year.

Prior to joining the Falcons, Cousins played his previous six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. The organization announced they’d be moving on from him earlier in the day. “After significant and positive dialogue with Kirk and his representatives, we were unable to reach agreement on a contract that fits the short and long-term visions for both Kirk and the Minnesota Vikings,” Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said in a statement. “Kirk holds a special place in Vikings history, and we appreciate his leadership and contributions to the team and the Minneapolis-St. Paul community over the past six seasons. We wish him, his wife, Julie, and their children all the best. Our approach heading into free agency always included layers of contingencies regarding the quarterback position. We are moving forward with plans that allow us to continue building a roster that can compete for a championship.”

Quavo Celebrates Falcons’ New Signing

Cousins is 35 years old and coming off a season-ending Achilles injury. Be on the lookout for further updates on Quavo as well as the NFL on HotNewHipHop.

Quavo & British Rap Icon Giggs Tease New Transatlantic Banger

Quavo and Giggs are gearing up to release the transatlantic banger they teased earlier this year, and fans can’t wait.

After much speculation, the Migos rapper posted a teaser of the visuals, confirming his appearance on the track. “Gun gotta accent speakin U.K.,” Quavo captioned the joint post with Giggs and fashion designer KidSuper.

Giggs first previewed the track in January at Kidsuper’s “String Theory” show at Paris Fashion Week. However, while attendees only heard Giggs’ verse, Hollowman revealed the Quavo feature on TikTok last week.

The Landlord of U.K. rap also gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the Pinky Blinders style video shoot. Quavo and Giggs are yet to confirm the son’s title or the release date, but it looks set to drop soon.

Meanwhile, Giggs recently made headlines after social media users questioned his friendship with Diddy following the latest lawsuit. He seemingly responded to wild rumors that he was Diddy’s London fixer and procured men for the embattled Hip-Hop mogul during his visits to London.

“No one cant ever bring no funny s### around BADMAN,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) last month. “Lets not forget who we are dealing with here. Lets cut da crap!!!!”

Offset On Relationship With Quavo: “Don’t Ever Try And Turn Us Against Each Other”

Offset says he and Quavo are on good terms and are still coming to terms with life after losing their third Migos member, Takeoff.

The pair were rumored to be feuding before Takeoff’s untimely death in November 2022 and were reportedly involved in an altercation at the 2023 Grammy Awards prior to a Takeoff tribute. However, they celebrated Takeoff’s birthday together later that year before joining forces to honor their late third member at the BET Awards.

Offset opened up about the state of their relationship during an appearance on Gillie and Wallo’s Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.

“I don’t feel like I owe it to people to show how much me and bro love each other,” he explained. “We went through something. We don’t have to show you smiles on faces … so stop doing that.”

Offset explained there’s no animosity between he and Quavo, and they celebrate each other’s successes.

“We aint on no sucker s### with each other. We both came in this s### together and we both knew that, we understood that, and we lost our brother,” he continued.

“I still go through s###; I know bro go through s###, “he added. “N##### love each other though at the end of the day. We men, we real brothers, and we cool with it, so be cool with it.

The “Jealousy” hitmaker concluded, “Don’t ever try and turn us against each other. I hate that s###. At the end of the day, it ain’t your business.”

Quavo & Rich The Kid Are The “Real Ones” On Our New Fire Emoji Playlist Update: Stream

March is heating up fast, and our Fire Emoji playlist update is here to round up the best rap releases of the week. First up is Quavo and Rich The Kid with their new single “Real One,” which is a slightly familiar but mostly bouncy and fun banger that takes it back to their roots a little bit. Still, a woozy synth melody gives it a bit of a different flair compared to their other material, although the Rich Forever member is used to these pallets. They also provide some vocal dynamism with their deliveries and their flows that, while not perfect, give this track some pretty necessary and vibrant life.

Next up on Fire Emoji is, in our opinion, the best release of the week: MIKE and Tony Seltzer’s collaborative album Pinball. It’s a short but very sweet collection of sometimes moody, mostly visceral, always hard, and consistently compelling rap songs that play in a few different sounds and styles. Earl Sweatshirt and Tony Shhnow help out on “On God,” which is one of the most ethereal cuts here. Meanwhile, the Burning Desire MC flows effortlessly and pays homage to UGK on the fast-paced and unbelievably mood-lifting “Underground Kingz.”

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist: Stream

As far as other hot singles this week, we wanted to shout out the new team-up between Russ and DJ Premier, “Work This Out.” It’s a bit slower and moodier of a beat than what fans might expect from the legendary beatsmith, but it’s still a well-constructed and evolutionary sample flip and build from him. As for the Atlanta lyricist, he actually takes a more melodic and melancholy approach on this song, so it’s great to hear how both parties here are moving a bit out of their comfort zones here. Well, the rapper’s always been great with melodies and displayed this side of him, but it’s not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Preemo, which is welcome.

Finally, we wanted to highlight two great new singles from Kenny Mason, “JUMPIN IN” and “US.” He continues to show why he’s one of the more consistent artists in the game today that comes through with grounded and gritty bars and minimally lush production. Let us know in the comments what your favorite Fire Emoji release was this week, as well as what we missed. Check out the playlist above and, as always, stick around on HNHH for the latest great music drops around the clock.

Karrueche Tran’s Flirty Quavo Comment Catches Our Attention, He Steps Out With Erica Fontaine

We never quite got to see what could’ve played out in love between Quavo and Karrueche Tran, though longtime stans of the rapper and actress continue to ship them. The latter hasn’t been seriously linked to anyone in some time, though the former has been somewhat quietly spending time with a gymnast by the name of Erica Fontaine. It’s been roughly a year of casual date nights for them, and we even saw a video of Quavo publicly planting a kiss on his rumoured boo a few weeks back.

Despite the Atlanta-based lyricist seemingly getting comfortable with the athlete, his past flame couldn’t resist teasing him on Instagram earlier this month. Rather than pressing people to answer the age-old question – $500K or dinner with Jay-Z? – Quavo asked his followers, “Lunch with Qua-Z, or take the cheese?” Before long, Karrueche dropped by the comments to let us know she’s going with option B, no questions asked.

Karrueche Tran Teases Her Ex Before His Night Out with Another Woman

Upon seeing this, internet sleuths speculated we might be seeing Q&K sneaking in and out of restaurants to enjoy each other’s company again soon. Instead, The Shade Room reports that 24-year-old Fontaine and Quavo were outside in Paris together earlier this week. She opted for an all-black Prada ensemble, meanwhile, her beau layered a brown and black furry sweater over pants with zipper details. He accessorized with a few silver chains, looking dapper as always as paparazzi cameras flashed away at the pair.

Since his unexpected split from Saweetie, Quavo has yet to publicly adore another woman as much as he did the Icy Girl. Still, we have been seeing some PDA from him and Erica Fontaine amid their rumoured romance, even if they’re not Instagram official. Read all about that at the link below, and check back in with HNHH later for more music/pop culture news updates.

Quavo Reacts to Fan’s Tattoo of Rapper Next to Post Malone’s Face

Quavo has an interesting reaction to seeing a fan’s massive back tattoo of the Atlanta rapper next to Post Malone‘s face.

Quavo’s Reaction to Seeing a Huge Tattoo of Him Next to Post Malone Across a Fan’s Back

On Thursday (Feb.22), while Quavo was out in Milan, Italy to join Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign for a Vultures album listening event, he had a very unique interaction with a loyal fan. While the former Migos member was posing for a photo op among a group of people in the northern Italian city, a fan named Daniele Cavarretta took off his shirt to expose an elaborate tattoo across his back that featured the faces of both Quavo and Post Malone.

As one would expect, the video clip below seemingly shows Quavo’s reaction to the detailed body art as a mix of surprise, flattery and slight bewilderment as to why Daniele may have chosen both his and Post Malone’s faces as the focus of his entire back.

Here’s What Rappers Looked Like Before Their Face Tattoos

Sukihana Brings Out OJ Da Juiceman At Rolling Loud Shortly After He War Released From Police Custody

Over the weekend, Rolling Loud Los Angeles took place and some of the biggest names in rap gathered in California. Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Future, and Metro Boomin served as the headliners. As you’d expect there were guests abound. During West’s listening party Freddie Gibbs, YG, Rich Homie Quan, Quavo, and more joined him on stage. Later in the festival YG was joined by Saweetie during his set. Sexyy Red performed her own set before appearing during Chief Keef’s Sunday slot. And Future closed the festival by debuting new material he has with Playboi Carti and Travis Scott. But one of the guests receiving quite a bit of attention came out during Sukihana’s set.

The provocative rapper and social media figure took the stage on Sunday. The packed crowd in attendance for her performance got something they weren’t expecting when she brought out a special guest. The special guest she delivered was OJ Da Juiceman. It was particularly surprising that he appeared as the rapper was only very recently released from police custody. He was arrested in Georgia earlier this month after a brief chase with police. Following a search of his car he was hit with drug and gun charges. Due to his recent release his Rolling Loud appearance came as even more of a surprise than most special guests. Check out the clip of him on stage below.

OJ DA Juice Man And Sukihana At Rolling Loud

OJ and Sukihana are fresh off the release of their new song together “Selling Coochie.” She reacted to his arrest with a tweet referencing how the new song was performing. “Me and OJ is #3 on iTunes hip hop and he just got locked up this so hurtful we supposed to be celebrating this moment” her post read.

What do you think of Sukihana bringing OJ Da Juiceman out during her set at Rolling Loud shortly after he was released from prison? Do you think he was the most surprising guest at the festival? Let us know in the comment section below.

Metro Boomin & Future Hit Rolling Loud Stage With Travis Scott To Tease “Type S***”

To close out Rolling Loud in Inglewood, California this past weekend, Future and Metro Boomin did the honors of being the headlining acts. It seems like it was a huge success for this iconic trap rap hitmaking duo. Some of their standout performances included Quavo joining them to play “Turn Yo Clic Up,” as well as “Mask Off.” However, another one of their surprise guests helped make this segment of their time on stage the talk of the evening. Travis Scott joined Future and Metro Boomin for a live taste of their upcoming collaboration “Type S***.”

This has been the only track that Metro and Future have really promoted ahead of their forthcoming LP We Don’t Trust You. The duo announced the record, along with a second about a week and a half ago. It is scheduled to drop on March 22, with the unnamed follow-up supposedly coming on April 12. This is now the third time this song has been played. Playboi Carti, who can be heard the most in the performance below, previewed the snippet as well.

Metro Boomin & Future Continue To Have Fans Hyped

However, with Metro saying there will be no features on the record, fans are still left hanging on the edge of their seats. This is especially true because there are just four days remaining before we get something from the Georgia icons. There are also some theories floating around that this will be a Carti track for Music. Him and Metro have been reportedly cooking up stuff as of late, so there is that. Wherever it winds up, the song looks to be a hit.

What are your thoughts on Metro Boomin, Future, and Travis Scott teasing their collaboration “Type S***” again at Rolling Loud? Do you think “We Don’t Trust You” will wind up having features? Will this be an album of the year contender, why or why not? Who will do the best on the track? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Metro Boomin, Future, and Travis Scott. Transgender Woman Beat Up During Kanye West’s Rolling Loud Set

Another day, another Kanye West story. According to several social media posts circulating online, a brawl broke out during Kanye West’s Rolling Loud Los Angeles set on Thursday night (March 14).

Footage making the rounds on Twitter (X) suggests the fight blew up after a transgender woman and cis male got into a heated argument. The trans woman wound up with a bloody face after she was punched in the nose. People in the vicinity began to shout as the tussle continued and several tried to intervene. Someone in the background could be heard yelling, “Worldstar!” in what sounded like an effort to fan the flames.

Multiple posts suggest the trans woman got “jumped,” but some on Reddit believe that she was the instigator and simply lost the fight.

Either way, Kanye West’s Rolling Loud appearance wasn’t exactly what fans had hoped it would be. West and his Vultures collaborator, Ty Dolla $ign, headlined the Rolling Loud Los Angeles festival on Thursday (March 14). Many of those who showed up to see them left disappointed by the duo’s set.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, their set amounted to yet another glorified listening party. West reportedly just paced around the stage with a mic in his hand but didn’t actually rap. And despite bringing out Quavo and Freddie Gibbs (who are both featured on the album), they didn’t really rap either. After they all left the stage, an anonymous DJ played roughly a half-hour’s worth of old Kanye West classics, including “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” “All of the Lights” and “Runaway.” And that was that. Kanye West never returned to the stage.
