On Monday (April 3), DJ/EDM producer Zedd organized the WELCOME! At STAPLES Center fundraising concert benefitting the American Civil Liberties Union. With only a limited number artists coming through the red carpet, HipHopDX had the pleasure catching up with pop sensation Bebe Rexha.
Coming out Brooklyn, New York, Bebe is the female voice found on G-Eazy’s hit single, “Me, Myself & I.” Speaking her relationship with the Bay Area MC, Bebe claims they are one and the same.
“It’s interesting, we’re like the same person. We’re both 27. We both went to school for music management. We love music. I think we’re just kind on the same wavelength when it comes to just wanting to be iconic. Working with him is just such an incredible energy and chemistry. I think we have an amazing chemistry when it comes to music”
Bebe Rexha has also effortlessly become a strong role model for all the young ladies who follow her doing.
“Being myself. I started out in the music business when I was 17, and it’s been ten years. I think I’ve learned to love myself and really just be the truest me. And be a bad bitch. And I want to teach girls that. There’s nothing wrong with that. Guys talk about it in songs all the time. They’re calling girls ‘bitches.” I’m like no. Let’s call ourselves bitches. We’re bad bitches. We’re strong, we’re independent. And I think that’s really important. I just want to teach girls to love themselves.”
And if any you are wondering how Bebe Rexha keeps in shape, she reveals working with Gunnar Peterson, who trains the Kardashians. When asked if diet had anything to do with that booty hers, she responds, “The more bread you eat, the better.”
