New York, NY – Busta Rhymes and DJ Khaled broke into a spontaneous B-Boy battle on the streets New York City this week. In an Instagram video Busta uploaded on Friday (August 25), the two Hip Hop heavyweights face f in a breakdancing challenge in celebration the Grammy Award nominated MC’s new single, “Girlfriend,” which features Tory Lanez and Vybz Kartel.
“Fuck that I had to change the caption!!!!,” Busta wrote. “Me and my bro @djkhaled had to have the #GIRLFRIENDDANCEBATTLECHALLENGE AND IT’S ON AND POPPIN’ AS OF TODAY ALL OVER THE WORLD!!! THIS IS WHAT BROTHER’S DO WHEN WE ARE CELEBRATING EACH OTHER’S GREATNESS!!!”
Busta also congratulated the Grateful artist for “having the biggest album this year.”
Khaled followed up with an Instagram post his own explaining how the event went down.
“So this a true story,” he wrote in the caption. “I call Busta Rhymes @conglomerateent to tell him his new anthem #GIRLFRIEND is fire emojis] bus said thank you my brother ! I love to see my friends win !!!!! But then bus said where you at I said I jus got to my hotel room what’s good ? He said I’m here come out side so I come out side and he said he want have a dance battle I said bus we brothers man ! don’t do that smh ! Bus said course we brothers .. I said bus put your new Anthem on #GIRLFRIEND let’s go !”
According to multiple Instagram posts, Busta is getting ready to drop his next studio album soon.
