Hip Hop Single Sales: Drake, The Weeknd & Fetty Wap

This week on the R&B/Hip Hop single sales chart, Drake’s “Hotline Bling” recaptures the #1 spot following a surge in sales. Elsewhere, G-Eazy’s “Me, Myself & I” climbed into the Top 10 following a 56% increase in sales and lastly, The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” slips to #11.

Drake’s “Hotline Bling” Retakes #1 Spot

After falling to #2 on last week’s report, Drake’s “Hotline Bling” is back at #1 this week following a 44% increase in sales. The single sold 73,290 units during the seven days leading to December 24 and has now moved 1,734,328 copies since its official release.

The Weeknd Slips To #2

Despite coming in at #1 on last week’s report, The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind The Madness single “In The Night” falls to #2 this week. The track sold 54,924 units during the seven days leading to December 24, an 8% decrease on the 59,673 sold the week prior. To date, the fourth single off Beauty Behind The Madness has moved 229,241 copies since its official release.

Fetty Wap’s “679” Jumps To #3

After 25 weeks on the chart, Fetty Wap’s “679” continues to pull in impressive sales numbers. This week, the single experienced a 49% increase in sales selling 53,612 units during the seven days leading to December 24. Since its official release, “679” has moved 1,515,282 copies.
