Hip Hop Week In Review: Russian Battle Rap, Wu-Tang Clan & Gucci Mane

HipHopDX – This week in Hip Hop, Russian battle rap infiltrated the American scene when Dizaster went bar-for-bar against Oxxxymiron, Wu-Tang Clan dropped Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues and RZA admitted Russell Crowe did in fact spit at Azealia Banks. Also, Gucci Mane married Keyshia Ka’oir on the BET Special, The Mane Event.

Dizaster Vs. Oxxxymiron

Dizaster and Russian battle rapper Oxxxymiron faced f at King Of The Dot’s “World Domination” event in Los Angeles. It’s already been dubbed as “the biggest battle in Hip Hop history” by Fresh Coast veteran host Lush One.

KOTD’s video the rap battle has already garnered over seven million views just five days after its debut. It’s now the #1 most viewed upload on the league’s channel.

Wu-Tang Clan Releases New Album & RZA Addresses Azealia Banks Incident

Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues is out. The 18-track project was produced entirely by DJ Mathematics.

RZA, who executive produced The Saga Continues, recently appeared on The Breakfast Club alongside Mathematics to talk about the project. When Charlamagne asked about the night Azealia Banks accused Russell Crowe saying the n-word and spitting on her, he admitted he saw the actor spit at her. RZA previously defended Crowe’s actions in a lengthy FaceBook post before acknowledging it.

“Look, he spit at her. I saw that,” he said in the interview.

Gucci Mane & Keyshia Ka’oir’s Wedding Is “The Mane Event”

Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir tied the knot in Miami on October 17.

The two lovebirds wed in a lavish ceremony that reportedly cost over $2 million. Sean “Diddy” Combs, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz and Big Sean were among a few the attendees. For those whose invitations got lost in the mail, The Mane Event aired live on BET.

Before the wedding, Mr. Davis copped his and her Rolls-Royce Wraiths.
