Young Thug Says He’ll Release “Tha Carter V” If Lil Wayne Doesn’t

With Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V album still without a release date, Atlanta, Georgia rapper Young Thug revealed that he’s tempted to release his own Tha Carter V project if the delay continues.

Thugger, who just released his Barter 6 album on iTunes, spoke on possible plans for his own Tha Carter V, during a newly-published interview with NDO Radio. He also revealed that he’ll likely release one more mixtape before his studio album.

“I’ll drop probably one more mixtape before my album,” Young Thug said. “The album is [on] iTunes. I’mma drop one more mixtape. I’ll probably name it Tha Carter V cause the original Carter V still ain’t came out yet. I don’t know what the fuck they doing. They slow-poking. So I’mma put that mothafucka out for him.”

In regards to his management, Thug confirmed that he is not signed to Rich Gang Management, and instead manages himself and is signed to Atlantic Records.

“Nah,” he said when asked if he’s managed by Rich Gang Management. “I’ll manage myself. Nobody brought me here, so nobody can take me there. I manage myself. I’m signed with Atlantic…I’m only signed to Atlantic. Birdman is my homie.”

Joined by fiancée, Jerrika Karlae during his interview, Young Thug spoke on the couple’s plans to collaborate on a line of swimming trunks and makeup for guys, specifically for photoshoots.

“Swimming trunks and stuff like that. And makeup for guys too,” the rapper said while speaking on potential collabs with Karlae.
