Full Moon In Libra Leaves Erykah Badu Feeling “Low Vibrational” After Beyoncé Drama

Erykah Badu is a powerful woman, there’s no denying that, but even someone who’s done as much work on their energy as she has feels the impact of the full moon. In particular, this month’s lunar transit through the sign of Libra, which also coincides with an eclipse, has “The Healer” singer feeling “low vibrational” as she put it during an Instagram Live session. Badu’s announcement comes just days after she went viral for seemingly accusing Beyoncé of copying her with the album artwork for her upcoming COWBOY CARTER project.

“Stomach feels bloated,” she told those watching her stream. “The moon got me feeling guilty, stressed all out. I don’t know why. But I’m up and I’m going. Past few days I’ve been feeling kinda not on my best behaviour, kinda like low vibrational a little bit.” Thankfully, Badu isn’t letting the energetic shifts get her down, as she knows that “it’s all part of the process, it’s all part of the cycle.”

Erykah Badu Goes Live to Talk About Her Feelings

It’s unclear if the 53-year-old’s guilt is related to the comments she made about Queen B, or if it’s a theme arising all throughout her life right now. Regardless, we’re glad Badu has the foresight and intuitive connection to know she’s more than her feelings. She did try to make amends with Bey by asking Jay-Z to intervene and calm down the swarming Beyhive, but the most bitter among them continue to pester the Dallas-born songstress.

Those of you who love Erykah Badu for her music will be happy to know that she’s been back in the studio as of late. She and Rapsody will be collaborating on the latter’s Please Don’t Cry LP, which is due out on May 17. Explore the full tracklist for that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Erykah Badu Expresses Feeling “Low Vibrational” After Clashing With Beyoncé’s Beyhive

Erykah Badu found herself in Beyoncé fans’ crosshairs over the last week. The Dallas-bred singer’s apparent dig at Bey led to online torment from members of the Beyhive.

It appears clashing with the Beyhive had an emotional effect on Badu. The Baduizm album creator recently expressed some of her feelings on social media.

“Stomach feels bloated. The moon got me feeling guilty, stressed all out. I don’t know why. But I’m up and I’m going,” Erykah Badu told her followers in an Instagram video.

She also added, “Past few days I’ve been feeling kinda not on my best behavior, kinda like low vibrational a little bit. But it’s all part of the process. It’s all part of the cycle.”

Artwork for Beyoncé’s upcoming Cowboy Carter album triggered Erykah Badu. The Queen of Neo-Soul apparently believed her fellow Texas native copied her braided/beaded hairstyle for the image.

A simple Instagram Story post of the Cowboy Carter picture with the caption “Hmmm” led to Beyoncé’s stan army going on the attack. At one point, Badu called on Bey’s husband, JAY-Z, to defend her against the Beyhive.

Erykah Badu had accused Beyoncé of stealing her aesthetic before. In July 2023, Badu joked about being the Houston singer’s stylist after seeing Bey wear a wide-brimmed hat during a Renaissance World Tour stop in New Jersey.

Azealia Banks Accuses Beyonce & Jay-Z Of “Pathetic” Smear Campaign After Country Era Criticism

Last month, Azealia Banks took to social media to share her unfiltered take on Beyonce‘s new country era. As expected, she earned herself plenty of backlash from the BeyHive in the process. According to her, the hitmaker missed the mark with “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES,” in what she calls a “lazy” attempt at diving into a new genre. She urged Beyonce to “stop the madness,” and instead just leave it up to pros like K. Michelle.

A few weeks after Banks unleashed her criticism, Billboard published a story about her various high-profile feuds. Now, she’s suspicious that Beyonce was behind it in some way. She hopped on Instagram to respond, slamming the songstress and her husband for what she suggests is a smear campaign.

“It’s becoming INCREASINGLY obvious you let your staff take payments to spew any bullsh*t in these weak attempts to control narratives,” she said. “But, the fact that my message regarding beyonce and roc nations treatment/sabotaging of black female artists/writers behind the scenes and her audacious expectation that black women somehow join her in a moment of pride for being ‘the first black woman to top the country charts’ ( Ugh I almost vomited ) was enough for their team to pay for this weak attempt at damage control is very tickling.”

“I think it’s pathetic that in the year 2024, a global superstar and her husband’s overwhelmingly desperate attempts to snag an ‘album of the year,’ – obviously to pump some steam into the curious attempt to ‘disrupt’ the power structure of the music industry with their own DSP – Tidal , needs to hinge on these offensively infantilizing epithets like ‘first black woman (to spend payola at country radio LOL)’ as if she deserves something special simply for being black,” she also added. “This post-BLM propaganda isn’t masking how both songs pale in comparison to literally every single artist making contemporary white americana country music.” What do you think of Azealia Banks accusing Beyonce and her team of targeting her with negative PR? Azealia Banks Accuses Beyoncé’s Team Of Payola & Smear Tactics

Azealia Banks claimed Beyoncé and Roc Nation engaged in payola to help “Texas Hold ‘Em” reach No. 1 on Billboard’s country music chart. Banks bashed Beyoncé and Billboard after the publication ran a story about Banks’ history of feuds.

“It’s becoming INCREASINGLY obvious you let your staff take payments to spew any b####### in these weak attempts to control narratives,” Banks wrote on Instagram in response to Billboard’s article.

She continued, “I think it’s pathetic that in the year 2024, a global superstar and her husband’s overwhelmingly desperate attempts to snag an ‘album of the year,’ – obviously to pump some steam into the curious attempt to ‘disrupt’ the power structure of the music industry with their own DSP – Tidal , needs to hinge on these offensively infantilizing epithets like ‘first black woman (to spend payola at country radio LOL)’ as if she deserves something special simply for being black. This post-BLM propaganda isn’t masking how both songs pale in comparison to literally every single artist making contemporary white americana country music.”

Banks reiterated her disappointment with Beyoncé’s country music, saying “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” were not good songs. Banks believed her opinion was validated by alleged attempts to discredit her.

“I want to celebrate her for evolving in her craft, womanhood and skill,” Banks wrote. “If the songs were good you’d be writing about them and not Azealia’s opinion on them. but the songs are not good, she doesn’t seem cognizant, as if she’s in a chemical straitjacket, the pr statements are unnecessarily political/redundant…..”

Earlier this week, Banks brutally scrutinized Beyoncé, Jay-Z and the Cowboy Carter album. Banks also embraced her trolling by posting a photo of herself in a cowboy outfit.

Azealia Banks Continues To Taunt Beyonce Amid “Cowboy Carter” Controversy

Azealia Banks is someone who has always spoken her mind on a wide variety of topics in the hip-hop and music world. Overall, one of her biggest targets over the years has been Beyonce. Whenever Bey drops a new song or enters a new era, Banks has something to say about it. This was especially true a couple of years ago when Beyonce gave us Renaissance. The album had house music influences, and Banks felt like the superstar didn’t do it the right way. These criticisms were relentless, and Banks felt like Beyonce was copying her in a sense. Now, Banks has gotten even more critical of Bey thanks to the Cowboy Carter rollout.

In a scathing rant posted to her Instagram account recently, Banks went off on Beyonce and Jay-Z for her new album. Of course, Cowboy Carter is set to drop on March 29th, and fans are excited about this new era of Bey. But as Banks explained, it all just feels like a huge eye roll. “Ugh, I’m so saddened by Jay-Z and his over strategizing everything [Bey does] to the point where it’s clearly his influence and not the real Bianca Bardot… Someone tell Jay-Z his strategies are corny and Beyonce has better ideas… We would like to see her outside without him and his pound puppy dreadlocks breathing all over herrrrrrr,” Banks said.

Azealia Banks Speaks

Yesterday, Banks continued to taunt Beyonce, this time with an image of Banks in cowboy gear from an old music video. In the caption of her post, she simply wrote “The OG.” It was yet another example of how Banks feels as though Beyonce has been watching her and copying her aesthetic. For now, Beyonce continues to ignore these criticisms, and it is doubtful that she will respond. Regardless, fans continue to look forward to Banks’ commentary.

Let us know what you think of the feud between Azealia Banks and Beyonce, in the comments section down below. Do you think Banks makes a good point? Do you think that Beyonce will ever respond? Beyoncé Publicist Answers Erykah Badu’s Copycat Claims With Receipts

Beyoncé’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure shut down accusations of the superstar biting Erykah Badu’s style on the Cowboy Carter album cover. Noel-Schure posted multiple examples of Beyoncé sporting braided hair in response to Badu, who suggested her look was copied for the cover.

“She slays,” Noel-Schure wrote on Instagram. “She slays. Now. Then. Always. act ii COWBOY CARTER 3.29 #criticswithoutcredentials.”

Badu reacted to Beyoncé’s cover with a simple “Hmmm” on Instagram Stories, but the Beyhive did not take the comment lightly. Beyoncé’s diehard fans went on the attack as Badu asked for Jay-Z’s help.

“To Jay Z,” Badu wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “Say somethin Jay. You gone let this woman and these bees do this to me??”

Beyoncé unveiled her Cowboy Carter album cover on Tuesday (March 19). She also revealed the inspiration for the project.

“This album has been over five years in the making,” she wrote. “It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.”

She continued, “The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.”

Cowboy Carter is scheduled to drop on March 29. Beyoncé promised “a few surprises” on her follow-up to 2022’s Renaissance album.

Erykah Badu Calls On JAY-Z To Squash Beyoncé’s Beyhive Following Cryptic Post

Erykah Badu has called on JAY-Z after once again after she was caught ina Beyhive frenzy based on her recent social media post.

On Wednesday (March 20), Badu took to Twitter (X) with a call-to-action directed at HOV to step in and curtail the backlash she began receiving from Bey’s fans following her Instagram Story post. The aforementioned Story causing the discourse was simply a repost of the “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” singer’s cover artwork for her upcoming Cowboy Carter album, which Badu captioned “Hmmm.”

Fairly quickly, fans assumed she was taking issue with Beyoncé’s stylistic choice, in opting for the braided bangs with beads look, which has become a signature hairstyle for for the Badu over the years. As a result, the conversation spilled over to Twitter, and fans didn’t hold back.

”Mind you…. But ima let Erykah cook,” a Twitter user wrote in a tweet featuring stars such a Stevie Wonder with similar hairstyles.

Another X user added, “Erykah Badu been wanting to pick a fight with Beyoncé since last year, like girl what tf you mad for ?!”

After Badu’s mentions began taking a beating, she began trending on the platform. She was the focal point of more than 4,000 tweets, which prompted her to reach out for help.

“To Jay Z,” she wrote. “Say somethin Jay. You gone let this woman and these bees do this to mee??” Badu wrote in the tweet accompanied by a video meme from The Maury Povich Show.

This isn’t the first time Erykah Badu has found herself within the crosshairs the Beyhive. Last August, Badu called Beyoncé out for allegedly biting her style for the RENAISSANCE TOUR.

Find it below.

Erykah Badu Suggests Beyonce Copied Her With New “Cowboy Carter” Album Cover

Earlier this week, Beyonce officially unveiled the album cover for her new album. act ii of her RENAISSANCE series is called “COWBOY CARTER” and is due out at the end of the month. The album cover landed with some controversy among Bey’s fans. It prominently displays the American flag, something that plays into the album’s themes of country music and Americana. Bey must have recognized the controversy as she quickly unveiled the deluxe edition cover which fans seemed to like a lot more.

But even that album cover is proving controversial. Erykah Badu reposted the newly shared album cover to her Instagram story with a caption reading “HMMM.” She seems to be suggesting that Beyonce copied her, specifically with her hair which looks quite similar to a look Badu has donned in the past. In the comments though, fans disagree. “It could easily be a tribute to Rick James, Venus and a Serena” one commenter suggests. “Rick James did it first if yall wanna get technical” another agrees. Check out the post Badu made and judge for yourself below.

Erykah Badu Accuses Beyonce Of Copying Her Hair

Beyonce dropped two singles last month to tease towards the album. While “16 CARRIAGES” was met with fan acclaim and performed quite well, that success paled in comparison to the lead single “TEXAS HOLD EM’.” The song hit the number one spot on the Hot 100 and is still inside the top 10 after more than a month. The song has already racked up more than 182 million streams on Spotify.

Earlier this month, Dolly Parton accidentally made a major revelation about the upcoming album. She revealed that there’s a cover of her classic song “Jolene” included somewhere on the record. Whether it’s a straight up cover or just an interpolation is not yet known. What do you think of Erykah Badu’s claim that Beyonce is copying her hair? Do you think Bey was inspired by Badu or by someone else entirely? Let us know in the comment section below.

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Album to Include Unexpected Rap Energy

Beyoncé has always been revered as one of your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper. Trina named the pop icon as such last year—to the surprise of many. The BeyHive knows their Queen can spit a mean 16. While hip-hop awaits that complete hip-hop album from Beyoncé, she’s currently in what was thought to be country mode for the upcoming release of her Act II: Cowboy Carter album. While there’s a bit of a disclaimer on that, the upcoming LP looks like it will feature at least one rapper and maybe some more.

Don’t Call Beyoncé’s Album Country

Despite releasing two songs—”Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” on Feb. 11 during the Super Bowl—that embody the country vibes she surprised everyone with and debuting the former at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, Beyoncé informed everyone that, “This ain’t a Country album. This is a ‘Beyoncé album,” in an Instagram post debuting the album cover on March 19.

Today marks the 10-day countdown until the release of act ii. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the supporters of TEXAS HOLD ‘EM and 16 CARRIAGES. I feel honored to be the first Black woman with the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart. That would not have happened without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist’s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant.

This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.

The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.

I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect. I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I poured into every detail and every sound.

I focused on this album as a continuation of RENAISSANCE…I hope this music is an experience, creating another journey where you can close your eyes, start from the beginning and never stop.

This ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album. This is act ii COWBOY CARTER, and I am proud to share it with y’all!

Travis Scott May Be the Rapper on Beyoncé’s New Album

After the 32-time Grammy award-winning singer debuted the cover art and confirmed she has a “few surprises on the album,” an Instagram ad began making its rounds. In the ad, a snippet of a song that is assumed to be featured on the album is heard. While no names nor a tracklist have been shared, fans think its Travis Scott’s voice in the preview.

The singing sounds of “Yeahhh, yeah, yeah” erupt over a synthesized beat straight out of the 1980s. La Flame supporters across social media believe he’ll be making an appearance on Cowboy Carter. The collaboration makes sense just for the Texas connection alone: they’re both from Houston.

Travis Scott may not be the only rapper on the LP. Jay-Z, Bey’s husband, could very well make an appearance, too. Beyoncé never needs a feature from Hov, but when they unite on a track, it’s a momentous occasion. They delivered Everything Is Love, an entire album together in 2018, and the result was a well-deserved Grammy win. After championing his wife at the Grammys this past February, hearing them on the same track would be a gift to not only the BeyHive but rap fans everywhere.

There’s a week left to wait to find out how much rap energy is included on Beyoncé’s Act II: Cowboy Carter, arriving March 29.

Azealia Banks Blames Jay-Z’s ‘Corny’ Strategy for New Beyonce LP

Azealia Banks is going in on Beyoncé‘s country album rollout and blaming Jay-Z‘s “corny” strategies for what Banks sees as a missed opportunity to do something meaningful.

Azealia Banks Blasts Beyonce and Jay-Z

Beyoncé recently announced “Act II” of her Renaissance album, Country Carter, will be coming out o March 29. On Tuesday (March 19), Azealia Banks weighed in with her thoughts on the upcoming LP.

“Wow we didn’t even try to put even a little effort into a more artistic title?” Banks wrote on her Instagram Story, which can be seen below. “Sis I live for whiteyonce Donatella Bianca Bardot DOWN, But I’m kind of ashamed at how u switch from baobab trees and black parade to this literal pick me stuff.”

She continued: “Like u do lame stuff like bring out some black listed white women (Dixie chicks) at the country music awards and they would never ever do the same for you. Ur always sharing ur platform with white women who are so jealous of you but have such a long history of sabotaging other black womens careers. There was so much more pertinent culture commentary to be made here.”

Banks went on to blame Jay-Z.

“Ugh I’m so saddened by Jay-Z and his overstrategizing everything beyonce to the point where it’s clearly his influence and not the real Bianca Bardot,” she continued. “Someone tell Jayz his strategies are corny and beyonce has better ideas.”

Banks is no stranger to calling out Beyoncé. In the summer of 2022, Banks blasted Bey and claimed the musical superstar was trying to erase Banks’ contributions to house music with the release of Renaissance: Act 1. In 2018, Banks claimed Bey steels from other artists.
