The Game Post Makes Fans Think He’s Siding With Drake

The Game shares a post on Instagram that has people assuming he is siding with Drake in the Kendrick Lamar beef.

The Game Shares Ominous Post

On Tuesday (April 16), Game shared a post on Instagram that left some people scratching their heads as to the Compton, Calif. rapper’s intentions. In the post, which can be seen below, Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late track “Energy” is playing on a smart speaker.

“I got enemies, got a lot of enemies/Got a lot of people tryna drain me of my energy/They tryna take the wave from a n***a/F**kin’ with the kid and pray for your n***a,” Drake raps.

Game left the ambiguous caption, “I got rap n***as that I gotta act like I like,” which is a lyric to the Drake track.

Fans Speculate The Game Is Siding With Drake

Some fans saw the post as a deeper message and many people questioned if it meant Chuck is riding with Aubrey in his battle with K-Dot.

“Game on Drake’s side?” one fan questioned in the comment section.

“Damn… this n***a so mad at Dre he going against Compton for likes,” another person wrote.

“If game sides with Drake the whole rap game is done,” someone else commented.

It is unclear if The Game is actually picking sides. He has worked with both Drake and Kendrick Lamar, who hails from his hometown, on multiple occasions. K-Dot even opened up for Game early in his career. In 2021, Game claimed he was the best rapper from Compton.

Rick Ross Seeks New Neighbor In Miami Beach To Troll Drake & Birdman

Rick Ross challenged Drake to buy an expensive lot next to Rozay’s property in Miami Beach on Wednesday (April 17). The Maybach Music Group boss boasted about the money he spent on his dream home after his beef with Drake shifted to a real estate debate.

“Yesterday we began talking about real estate,” Ross said. “I don’t know nobody else that’ll buy a $35 million crib and tear it down and do it the way they wanna do it, customized. Well, I did! Here we go, right here on Star Island. I’ma have easily $50 million into this and it’s well worth it. My dream crib.”

He continued, “But right next door, it’s an empty lot. They only asking $37 million for the flat lot … You know who I’d love to be my neighbor! So, my rich friends, it’s available. And I know you got somebody that would love to stay right here next to Ricky Rozay.”

Ross previously mocked Drake for not helping Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman, who faced foreclosure threats on a Miami Beach mansion in the past. Ross, wearing a t-shirt featuring the cover art for Cash Money’s Baller Blockin’ film, continued antagonizing Drake and Birdman by referencing the Big Tymers single “Get Your Roll On.”

“These other people don’t have a waiting list for real estate where they from,” Ross said. “Stop. It’s whole different ball game. It’s Ricky Rozay. C’mon, man, you could be my neighbor. I would love to g####### wake up in the morning and hear, ‘Everybody getcha roll on, everybody getcha m############’ … It’s only $37 million! C’mon, man.”

Ross began feuding with Drake in a sprawling rap battle involving Future, Metro Boomin, Kendrick Lamar and more. Drake dissed Ross on the song “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50).” Ross responded with the diss track “Champagne Moments.”

Drake’s Rap Beefs Stem From Alleged Co-ownership Of Gamma Music, Joe Budden Says

Joe Budden might not be hitting the studio like he used to, but the podcaster still has plenty of industry intel he’s happy to discuss on his show. Lately, a lot of the 43-year-old’s content has been focusing on the drama unfolding amongst the men of rap. Many are curious why Drake suddenly became public enemy number one to former collaborators like Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar. According to Budden, the reason might be a lot more complicated than it seems on the surface.

“The labels got s**t running through Drake, I’m telling you,” the “Pump It Up” hitmaker alleged on Tuesday’s (April 16) episode of his podcast. “We’re going to find out. One of these ni**as is going to spill the beans soon, I’m telling you. There’s something here that we don’t know enough about yet,” Budden said after a co-host mentioned the father of one’s alleged ties to Gamma. XXL notes that the new company was founded in 2023 by former Apple executive Larry Jackson and record executive Ike Youssef. Rick Ross, French Montana, Sexyy Red, and Usher are all artists on the platform’s roster.

Joe Budden Suggests That Drake Is a Part-Owner of Gamma

“I think Drake owns some of Gamma,” The Joe Budden Podcast creator told viewers. In the past, the rapper-turned-media personality speculated that the 6ix God is getting paid for showing support to Sexyy, which supports this theory. Additionally, it could explain some of the tension brewing with Montega and Rozay.

At this point, it’s hard to keep up with all the artists who seem to be airing out their issues with Drake. Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar are the most obvious, but there’s also speculation that his fellow Canadian, The Weeknd, was singing some shade on Metro Boomin and Future‘s We Still Don’t Trust You. Joe Budden Thinks Drake Co-Owns New Music Company Gamma

Joe Budden thinks Drake possibly being the co-owner of new music company Gamma might be the root of Drizzy’s beef with rappers.

Drake Co-Owns Gamma?

While several rappers have recently formed like Voltron to try and take Drake down, speculation has run rampant about the root of rappers’ animosity with the 6 God. On the latest episode on The Joe Budden Podcast, which aired on Tuesday (April 16), Joe and crew talked about possible reasons for the beef.

“The labels got s**t running through Drake, I’m telling you,” Joe insists in the video clip below. “We’re going to find out. One of these n***as is going to spill the beans soon, I’m telling you.”

“There’s something here that we don’t know enough about yet,” Joe adds after one of his cohosts brings up Drake’s possible ties to Gamma.

Gamma was formed in 2023, by former Apple executive Larry Jackson and record executive Ike Youssef. The roster of artists includes Rick Ross, French Montana, Sexyy Red and Usher.

“I think Drake owns some of Gamma,” Joe says.

Joe previously surmised Drake is getting paid to promote Sexyy Red, which would lean into his theory. It might also explain Drake’s issues with Rick Ross and French Montana. Ross’ joint album with Meek Mill, Too Good to Be True, was released through the company last year. French’s Mac & Cheese 5 was also distributed through the company earlier this year. That album features the “Splash Brothers” song that rap fans think Drake allegedly sent the cease-and-desist letter for, which Ross revealed on his Drake diss track “Champagne Moments.”

Joe Budden Gets Drake Intel From Escorts

Joe Budden has been breaking down the Drake situation on every episode of his show recently. On a recent episode of the show that aired on Sunday (April 14), Joe revealed he gets most of his Drake intel from escorts.

“I think most of my Drake intel today comes from my love of escorts,” Joe said. “I’m not trying to be funny.”

“The escorts just always know,” Joe continued. “The escorts are ground level to it all. The escorts are the CIA of the subway system.”

Drake Gives Adam22 His Hip-Hop Media Big Three, Shows Rare Love To Joe Budden And Shades DJ Vlad

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the world, and over the years, he has certainly had his fair share of run-ins with hip-hop media. Overall, it has been a while since he has actually sat down with a hip-hop publication. Instead, he has mostly focused on doing interviews with the likes of Bobbi Althoff and Barstool Sports. However, he is clearly paying attention to the landscape right now, and he is aware of all of the big names. Consequently, he could probably tell you who his favorite personalities are, right off the top of his head.

In fact, the Big Three of hip-hop media has become a discussion point thanks to Adam22. Recently, he said that the Big Three is himself, DJ Vlad, and DJ Akademiks. He even dissed Joe Budden in the process, which led to an interesting reply from the man himself. Since then, Adam has asked Drake to get in on the fun. While speaking on a recent podcast, Adam says Drake told him who his Big Three is, or at least he implied it. Adam suggested his own list, and it led to Drake saying “Nah you got to give it to [Joe Budden] over Vlad.”

Drake x Adam22

While Drizzy might hate Joe Budden, and for obvious reasons, it seems like he still respects him as a podcaster. Apparently, Drake isn’t too fond of Vlad, who is definitely a polarizing figure. Some love him and his interview style, while others have always felt conflicted by it. No matter what, this debate has been pretty interesting to watch play out. For now, however, it seems like Akademiks is through line for everyone who is taking part in the debate. Given his public perception, it is a unique thing to note.

Jay Electronica Comments On Drake Battle In The Most Jay Elect Way Possible

There are two kinds of rappers these days. The ones who are beefing with Drake, and the ones who have opinions about the Drake beef. Jay Electronica falls under the latter group. The New Orleans rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to weigh in on the biggest hip-hop narrative of 2024, and he did so in a way that was classic Jay Elect. Instead of coming and stating how he felt, the rapper dropped references to two classic films.

The first film Jay Electronica referenced was Good Night, and Good Luck (2005). The Oscar-nominated drama is about Edward R. Murrow, a TV journalist who dared to push against the Red Scare narrative put forth by Joseph R. McCarthy in the 1950s. The rapper tweeted the title of the film, which is an expression meant to convey the notion that one must rely on themselves in the face of tremendous adversity. The same kind of adversity Drake is facing from every corner of the music industry at the moment.

Jay Electronica Supports Drake In The Rap Wars

“Good Night and Good Luck” was also the title of a Drake song from 2008. The song was Drake’s first ever diss, and it helped him to demolish a Toronto rapper named Aristo. It’s unclear if Jay Electronica quoted the expression with the context of Drake’s battle history in mind, but given his rapping abilities, it’s certainly possible.

The other film Jay Elect referenced was First Blood (1982), the first entry in the Rambo franchise. The specific scene sees Rambo’s ex-commander warn the local sheriff not to challenge the Vietnam veteran. “Are you telling me that 200 men against your boy is a no-win situation?,” the sheriff asks, to which the ex-commander states: “If you send that many don’t forget one thing. A good supply of body bags.”

The parallel Jay Elect is making between Rambo and Drake are obvious, as both men are being forced into battle with their backs against the wall. Drake even dressed up like the action hero in the music video for “Way 2 Sexy.” Given that Rambo is a legendary killing machine, it’s safe to infer that Jay Electronica is confident in Drake’s ability to succeed.

Rick Ross Demands Drake Apologize & Confess To Having  BBL, Drizzy Responds

Drake and Rick Ross are still going at it!

The MMG honcho and the OVO boss have taken the beef to social media and are exchanging shots via Instagram Stories. Rozay doubled down on accusing Lil Yachty of being Drizzy’s ghostwriter before addressing Drake directly.

“I’m the bigger person, I’m a boss. Drake, I’m gonna give you the opportunity to apologize,” Ross said in a video. “First and foremost you gotta admit, confess you got your nose, your nose reduction. And confess you got a BBL. And I understand, I know what it’s like having those f#### on your stomach and that sweat being under there, you ain’t wanna do that, you wanted to just [say] f### a gym, n####. … You could go get it done, and you did it. Just confess.”

Ross also urged Drake to upgrade his private jet, suggesting it was made in 1978, and told him to help out Birdman. Ross mocked Birdman over the weekend over his “Stunna Island” mansion.

“White boy, white boy, BBL Drizzy, I got a question,” he said. “I saw you posted you got more money than Ricky Rozay, and let’s assume you did. Well your best friend Birdman, his house went into foreclosure five years ago. You done watched that man struggle them five years and ain’t get that man a mansion? ‘Cause if you got more money than Rozay, what’s another 50 million, white boy?”

Rick Ross then gave Drake a 48-hour deadline to buy Birdman another mansion. “The countdown has begun,” he declared. “N#### your nose fake, your stomach fake, you don’t write raps, your biggest homie’s in foreclosure.”

Drake eventually fired back at Ross, responding to a post about selling his last home in the United States for $88 million.

“Look how I talk to this turkey,” Drake wrote, sharing his DM to Ross. “You shoulda just asked for another feature.”

He teased Ross saying, “Imagine you having 88 million to spend on a crib,” before mocking his home.

“Your lot 40000 square feet my crib 40000 square feet Leonard. And you put a wrap on your timeshare jet that s### coming off when it’s the other people turn to fly,” he added.

Instagram/Drake

Drake then posted an aerial view of Ross’ Star Island mansion in Miami. “Rick you sandwiched in (which is on brand) cause the vacant land not yours,” he wrote. “This s### the Miami starter pack you living in a content creator crib.”

Rick Ross clapped back at Drake for sending him paragraphs to read and continuing the ghostwriter accusations.

“Ain’t nothing wrong with talking s###, but Drake, you gotta keep it at one line,” Ross replied. That s### you doing gotta take 20 minutes. One line or don’t DM me no more. … I know why Drake don’t do what I do when I talk and he don’t talk, he’ll take a picture and post ’cause he got ghostwriters for his f###### captions.”

Cash Cobain Claims That Drake Reference Track Is AI Generated

Cash Cobain is the latest artist to get dragged into the Drake wars. A reference track for the Drake song “Calling For You” has leaked online with Cobain rapping the lead vocal. Cobain was listed on the official track as a co-producer, but the leak suggests that the artist also had a bigger hand in the songwriting. This is the second time a Drake reference has leaked in the last week, with the first being “Jumbotron S**t Poppin.” It looks like the “Calling For You” diss may be a fake, however.

Cobain posted an image of Allen Iverson to his IG and Twitter on April 16. There was no mention of the leak, but it didn’t take much for fans to tie the image of Iverson in to the reference track. Iverson is known for his fake behind the back move, so Cobain is confirming that the leaked “Calling For You” is phony. Cobain and Drake are friends, and Cobain has even championed the Canadian rapper during interviews. “Don’t think Drake not tuned in,” he said on TikTok. “He definitely tuned in. Especially with the New York sound. I feel like every sound he tuned in with.”

Cash Cobain Shut Down The Leak With An Allen Iverson Photo

Drake has been hounded by reference track allegations for a decade. The rapper’s pen game has been a talking point ever since Quentin Miller‘s reference for “10 Bands” leaked in 2015. He addressed the issue during a profile in The Fader, claiming that it does not reflect a lack of involvement in the writing process. “I need, sometimes, individuals to spark an idea so that I can take off running,” he stated. “I don’t mind that. And those recordings—they are what they are. And you can use your own judgment on what they mean to you. I don’t know if I’m really here to even clarify it for you.”

Despite Drake’s clarification, the ghostwriting rumors persist. Rick Ross recently implied that he wrote Drake’s verse on the 2018 smash “Sicko Mode.” The MMG honcho also stated that Drake uses writers when posting comments and insults on social media. The latter claim was made after Drake posted a screenshot of a DM exchange in which he mocked Ross’ (lack of) wealth.

Rick Ross Offers Drake the Opportunity to Apologize

Rick Ross is offering Drake the opportunity to apologize for dissing him.

Rick Ross Gives Drake the Chance to Say Sorry

The beef between Drake and Rick Ross is the most active battle in hip-hop and the two rappers continue to take shots at each other. Today (April 16), Rozay is giving Drizzy the opportunity to say sorry before things get uglier. Ross calls out Drake for claiming he is way richer than the Miami rapper.

“I saw you posted you got more money than Ricky Rozay and let’s assume you did,” Ross said in a video on his Instagram Story below. “Well, your best friend, Birdman, his house went into foreclosure five years ago. You done watched that man struggle for five years and ain’t get that man a mansion?”

In another video, Ross offers Drake the opportunity to apologize.

“I’m feeling like the bigger person,” Rozay said. “Drake, I’ma give you the opportunity to apologize. First and foremost, you gotta confess you got your nose reduction and confess you got a BBL...Just confess. I know you not gonna respond.”

Drake Pocket Checks Ross

Ross’ comments come on the heels of Drake sharing a scathing DM he sent Ross.

“Imagine you having 88 million to spend on the crib,” Drake wrote in his message to Ross. “Your s**ts be steals like you got em from a police auction.”

More of the message reads: “Your Star Island house on a sliver of cheesecake. Your lot 40000 square feet my crib 40,000 square feet Leonard.”

The heat is on between Drake and Rick Ross after Drizzy dissed the MMG rapper on his leaked diss song over the weekend. Ross responded within hours on the track “Champagne Moments,” and the two rappers have been trading shots on social media ever since.

Rick Ross Disses Drake Over Birdman Foreclosure: “Don’t Do Stunna Like That”

Rick Ross doesn’t waste time. The Miami rapper had a response track ready three hours after the release of Drake‘s “Push Ups” diss. DJ Akademiks posted a screenshot of Drake making fun of Ross’ fortune on Instagram, and Rozay claps back minutes later with a challenge. He wants Drake to put his money where his mouth is, and claimed that the rapper has 48 hours to help his label boss, Birdman, find a new home. He even scouted a few nearby locations to make the process easier.

Ross grabbed a bottle of Rose (naturally) and hopped on Instagram Live to issue his challenge. “I saw you say that you got more money than Ricky Rozay,” he said. “And let’s assume you did. Well your best friend, Birdman, his house went into foreclosure. You done watched that man struggle for five years and ain’t get that man a mansion.” Ross’ facts check out, as Birdman was forced to sell his baller mansion for $10.85 million in 2018. Birdman bought the mansion for $14.5 million, according to New York Post, which means he netted a loss of nearly $5 million.

Rick Ross Claims Drake Has An Old Jet

Ross urged Drake to use his wealth to buy Birdman another mansion. “Cuse if you got more money than Rozay, what’s another $50 million, white boy? Don’t do Stunna like that. C’mon man.” The rapper threw in a few mocking bird sounds before setting a time on the clock. “48 hours, the countdown has begun,” he announced. Ross twisted the knife a bit further by telling Drake to be safe flying around in his “old” jet. “That’s a 1978, be safe on that, Drizzy.”

Rick Ross rightfully pointed out that none of his MMG artists have been kicked out of their homes. “Ain’t none of my n***as went in foreclosure,” the rapper yelled. Ross may have less money in his bank account than Drake, but the decision to involve Birdman is smart given the label boss recently voiced his support for Drake in the ongoing beef. Stunna wrote “I’m ridin with you 4L” on his IG Story, which should come as no surprise given the antagonistic relationship he’s had with Ross over the years.
