Takeoff Murder Lawsuit Continues, Venue Owner Blames Suspect, Migos & Patrons For Violence

New reports on court documents in Takeoff‘s mother’s lawsuit against the venue at which he met a tragic end in late 2022 reveal some very interesting arguments. Moreover, according to RadarOnline, the owner of 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston placed all blame for the murder on its charged suspect, Patrick Xavier Clark, and his possession of an illegal gun. However, the location also seems to have attributed responsibility to Quavo, Take, and their associates who participated in gambling outside of the venue. Since this lawsuit’s filing in June of 2023, no settlement is in sight and 810 Billiards & Bowling want its dismissal.

Furthermore, Takeoff’s mother Titania Davenport claimed that the bowling alley knew of Quavo and her son’s arrival beforehand and should’ve bolstered security, according to The Los Angeles Times. She maintains that the former Migo was an innocent onlooker during this incident, one that 810 Billiards & Bowling should assume responsibility for given their knowledge of the possibility of large gatherings to see the rappers. In addition, Davenport claimed that some of the venue’s patrons were the one to intimidate Take, cause physical and verbal altercations, and ultimately lead to his loss. She seeks over a million dollars in damages for emotional distress, funeral expenses, and her son’s personal injuries.

Nevertheless, Titania Davenport has other issues to handle around Takeoff’s death, as his father Kenneth Ball is listed as an intervenor in this case against 810 Billiards & Bowling. The Georgia MC’s parents have battled over his estate for a while now, as he had no will and, according to RapUp, left around $26 million when he passed. AllHipHop also reported that Ball seeks $1 million in damages from the venue for similar reasons to Davenport. Quavo’s assistant also filed a lawsuit against the location in August of 2023, claiming similar irresponsibility when it comes to security and pointing to his own sustained injuries from the shootout.

Meanwhile, after authorities charged Patrick Xavier Clark with the murder, he remains on house arrest until his next court date for August 2024. Perhaps we will see this year if there will truly be justice for the late legend, at least when it comes to who was responsible for his passing. But justice will never heal these wounds. Instead, that’s up to his family, his loved ones, his legacy, and to us as fans to advocate for the prevention of these incidents in the future and keep Takeoff’s memory alive. Post Malone Shares A Snippet Of His Upcoming Collaboration With Morgan Wallen

Next week, Beyonce will release her highly anticipated new album COWBOY CARTER which will see her shifting her focus into country music. But she isn’t the only musical superstar that plans on trying their hand at the sound. Post Malone has announced an upcoming country single and he isn’t dropping it on his own. He’s recruiting a collaborator who is currently the biggest voice in all of country music by any metric, Morgan Wallen.

Last year, Wallen released his new album One Thing At A Time which was absolutely packed with hits. Most notably the track “Last Night” was the biggest song of all of 2023 on the Hot 100, topping the year end chart. Other tracks from the album like the title track, “You Proof,” “Thought You Should Know,” and “Thinkin’ Bout Me” were also big hits. Malone is no stranger himself to having big hits so the pair teaming up has quite a bit of potential. Post shared a snippet of the song to his Instagram earlier this week. Check out the preview of their upcoming collaboration below.

Post Malone Previews His New Song With Morgan Wallen

Morgan Wallen has crossed over into the rap world a few times before. He teamed up with Lil Durk back in 2022 for a single called “Broadway Girls.” The pair teamed up last year once again for a track called “Stand By Me” which landed at the back end of Durk’s Almost Healed album. After winning his first ever Grammy earlier this year Durk teased that they might collaborate again in the future.

Last year, Morgan Wallen appeared in a music video alongside another one of the biggest stars around, Drake. The rapper recruited Wallen for an appearance in his “You Broke My Heart” music video from the Scary Hours 3 EP back in December. Chris Brown Says Dating Him Is Like Being With a Porn Star

Chris Brown says dating him is similar to dating a mental patient and porn star.

Chris Brown Explains What It’s Like to Date Him

On Friday (March 22), Chris Brown hopped on his Instagram Story and explained that dating him was like dating three different kinds of people. He clarified it was a fun time.

Dating me is fun,” Breezy said. “You get a comedian, mental patient and pornstar all in one.”

Chris Brown was last known to be dating model Ammika Harris, though rumors were afloat in February that he was romantically entangled with R&B singer Tyla. However, the South African singer confirmed with Hollywood Unlocked in February that she is “very single.”

“Anyone I’m seen with, I’m dating that person” Tyla explained while speaking to Jason Lee on the Grammys red carpet. “I don’t know why, but I’m very single.”

Fans Clown Chris Brown for Creeping on Karrueche Tran’s OnlyFans

Breezy’s update comes after his fans noticed he was creeping on his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who announced earlier in March she had joined OnlyFans. An eagle-eyed supporter noticed that CB had liked a picture of Tran wearing a seductive sheer dress.

Chris and Tran dated on-and-off from 2011 to 2015, but finally split after she accused the R&B singer of abuse and threats. Breezy’s ex ended up serving him a restraining order in 2017 after she claimed he pushed her down a flight of stairs, punched her in the stomach, threatened to shoot her and made other death threats. He allegedly had been dodging the restraining order for months.

Filming Dead Rappers and Posting the Videos Has to Stop

Videos and photos showing deceased rappers that spread across the internet mere moments after they’ve been murdered have become an incredibly disturbing byproduct of the internet age. The tragic deaths of artists like XXXTentacion, PnB Rock and, most recently, Philadelphia rapper Phat Geez have created some of the most graphic viral moments hip-hop has ever seen. This type of imagery being shared countless times across social media shines a light on the growing insensitivity that people have toward dead, especially murdered rappers in hip-hop. Filming dead rappers and sharing the videos has to stop.

Some People Will Do Anything for Clout

In previous eras, photojournalists felt a certain sense of responsibility to the public to document high-profile figures, much like when President John F. Kennedy Jr. was assassinated in 1963. That moment was very different considering he was already being filmed during his motorcade in Dallas when the shooting occurred. However, in the modern age, specifically in the hip-hop world, that journalistic approach has seemingly all but vanished in exchange for those seeking clout and clicks.

Videos and Photos of Murdered Rappers Have Been Shared Across Social Media

Within minutes of XXXTentacion being shot and killed on June 18, 2018, outside of RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Fla., brazen bystanders casually walked up to the rapper’s car and instead of offering any sort of assistance, they began filming the rapper’s dead body. Countless videos of the late XXX bleeding from gunshot wounds while still in his car where the shooting took place circulated around X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram without many users so much as batting an eye.

Late Dallas rapper MO3 was murdered in broad daylight in Nov. 11, 2020 in what police called a “brazen” attack. Someone took it upon themself to hop out of their car on Interstate 35E immediately following the shooting just to capture the entire scene on camera before posting it to Instagram with the caption, “Stay safe.” MO3’s lifeless body is shown lying on the pavement while emergency medical staff perform CPR.

Similarly, on Sept. 12, 2022, when PnB Rock was gunned down in Los Angeles during a robbery gone wrong the news was actually first exposed to the public due to horrific video footage directly from the crime scene that surfaced online. In the video that was shared far too many times, Rock appeared lying in a pool of blood. Witnesses to the shooting are seen wrapping PnB’s wounds with towels except, of course, the desensitized person holding the camera who then added to the disrespect by uploading it to social media platforms.

In the aftermath of the shooting death of Philadelphia rapper Phat Geez, who was killed this past Sunday (March 17), home security cam footage that captured Geez being shot multiple times by someone within a car began spreading like wildfire online, seemingly all for the sake of users going viral. Meek Mill mourned the death of Phat Geez and called out the violence in his hometown of Philly.

People Who Share Imagery of Murdered Rappers Have Been Called Out for Their Actions

As more people continue to share photos and videos of rappers during their final moments of life, plenty of critics in the hip-hop space are calling them out. The apparent indifference and disregard for human lives simply because a person has a successful rap career is appalling. In November of 2022, as photos and video clips began to circulate just hours after the senseless killing of late Migos member Takeoff, Gillie Da Kid called out the people who, in his opinion, were looking to capitalize on the tragedy. Gillie took heavy exception to a video that saw a bleeding Takeoff on the ground as his loving uncle Quavo crouched over him amid the melee, which had been shared across social media.

“Why every time something happen to a rapper or an athlete or an entertainer or anybody of color, the first thing you n***as do is pull your f**kin’ phones out and start recording, and post that s**t on the internet, man?” Gillie Da Kid screamed in a scathing rant on Instagram shortly after Takeoff died. “You n***as is clowns for that s**t, man. The last image a muthaf**ka want to see is they peoples laying on the ground bleeding the f**k out.”

Gillie passionately added: “N***as be having mamas, kids, grandmamas, uncles, aunties, that’s some dumb s**t. But the first thing y’all n***as do is pull y’all phone out. ‘Oh, look at such and such.’ That s**t ain’t cool, man. That n***a just lost his life and you n***as is tryin’ to get likes. Tell me how that s**t add up?”

The Million Dollaz Worth of Game rapper-turned-podcaster brings up an excellent question: Why do so many people instinctively reach for their phones to film and subsequently post such grisly, heinous moments of a person’s last breath? Regardless of the rationale, the practice should only be examined as a lack of respect and complete insensitivity.

Chance The Rapper Encourages Black Community To Spark A Revolution Instead Of Vote

Chance The Rapper appears to be offering the Black Community his own advice in an unreleased track he recently shared.

On Tuesday (March 19), Chance unleashed the snippet in an Instagram post. In doing so, he provided little information about the official release of the track. However, he did offer his two cents on a possible course of action for Black folks in the verses he briefly showcased. More specifically, the Chicago MC appeared to express his belief that people of color need to take up arms and organize rather than involve themselves in the current democratic election cycle.

“I ain’t telling no n###as go vote/I ain’t telling no n###as go broke/I’m just telling my n###as get guns, I’m just telling my n###as revolt,” he raps in part.

Rolling Loud Los Angeles 2024: Five Best Sets Of The Weekend

Every year, some of the biggest stars in rap and R&B gather in one place. Over the weekend that place was Los Angeles for the 2024 Rolling Loud LA Festival. With four big-name headliners and dozens of beloved supporting acts, everybody got a taste of something they love during the festival. While everyone goes to music festivals for different artists and different reasons, these were some of the best sets of the weekend that brought both energy and theatricality to the festival stage.

For a lot of artists, the spectacle is as much a part of the show as anything else. That was definitely the case right out of the gate for Summer’s Saturday Night performance at the GoPuff stage. With an impressive live band and array of backup dancers she made her presence known instantly upon arrival. But unlike some of the weekend’s other most theatrical performances, there was actually substance underneath the flash.

Throughout her set, Walker brushed through numerous fan favorites as well as some of her newest material. Throughout, Walker’s vocals were stunning, consistently soaring above the live instrumentation. Her performance was strong enough to reach the dramatic peaks of some of her most dramatic sonic moments and it made the set an absolute delight.

Future And Metro Boomin

image

Rolling Loud has a reputation for virality. That often comes from huge moments where the biggest names in hip-hop take an absolutely massive stage to show off their sheer force of star power. The only set of the entire weekend that lived up to that level of grandiosity was the Sunday night headlining slot of Future and Metro Boomin. The two superstars closed out the entire festival with a career-spanning performance that lived up to the promise of Rolling Loud.

Just a few weeks ago the pair confirmed that they have two new albums on the way very soon. Throughout the set, they continually promised that it was going to be some of the best music of the year. From what they performed live, many fans agreed, In particular, when the duo had fellow stars Travis Scott and Playboi Carti join them on stage it made for one of the best and most talked about moments of the entire weekend.

Flo Milli

image

Saturday night, Flo Milli hit the GoPuff stage in the wake of a major couple of weeks for her. She’s scored one of her biggest hits to date with the single “Never Lose Me,” which just got a new remix featuring SZA and Cardi B. She also just released her new album Fine Ho, Stay her first new project since 2022. All of that gave her plenty of reason to celebrate and flex, which is exactly what she did throughout her set.

She delivered one fan-favorite cut after another spanning her entire career during the 30-minute set. Much like her albums, it was an absolute banger fest. For one song after another Flo Milli routinely got the chance to spit confident bars and hard-hitting catchy refrains. With an audience clearly packed full of die-hard fans the intensity and attitude of the performance was unrivaled for the entire weekend.

image

It’s only fitting that two of California’s finest would deliver one of the best performances of Rolling Loud Los Angeles. YG first appeared on Thursday night alongside Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, and a myriad of other guests for the VULTURES listening party. But that was nothing compared to the energy he would bring to his own set on Friday. He’s celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut album My Krazy Life and kicked off the set with fiery performances of some of the album’s classics.

But the highlight of the show came once the pair went back to back in the second half. They did an impromptu live Verzuz on stage that reminded fans they both have hit after hit. That even included a surprise appearance from Saweetie alongside YG where they tantalized the crowd by flirting on stage. The celebration of two of the West Coast’s finest felt like one of those Rolling Loud moments that fans will talk about for years to come.

image

One of the most signature elements of Rolling Loud is the raucous crowds. Nearly every year videos of massive mosh pits breaking out with fans going absolutely wild hit the internet and go viral. It’s arguably the hallmark of the entire festival. Yet the only crowd of the weekend that really felt like it lived up to that high bar of intensity was Ski Mask The Slump God. He’s no Rolling Loud novice and you could tell as he seemingly knew exactly what songs to deliver to get the crowd hype.

During the second half of the set, he paid tribute to both XXXTENTACION and Juice Wrld and the crowd chanted along with nearly every word of every song. From the more intimate moments where cell phone lights swayed back and forth to the throttling intensity of songs like “Rip Roach,” Ski Mask’s set was the weekend’s lone moment that felt like it was destined to be the next viral Rolling Loud crowd hype video. Nobody all weekend was in command of the stage and the crowd more than Ski Mask The Slump God.

Sukihana Brings Out OJ Da Juiceman At Rolling Loud Shortly After He War Released From Police Custody

Over the weekend, Rolling Loud Los Angeles took place and some of the biggest names in rap gathered in California. Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Future, and Metro Boomin served as the headliners. As you’d expect there were guests abound. During West’s listening party Freddie Gibbs, YG, Rich Homie Quan, Quavo, and more joined him on stage. Later in the festival YG was joined by Saweetie during his set. Sexyy Red performed her own set before appearing during Chief Keef’s Sunday slot. And Future closed the festival by debuting new material he has with Playboi Carti and Travis Scott. But one of the guests receiving quite a bit of attention came out during Sukihana’s set.

The provocative rapper and social media figure took the stage on Sunday. The packed crowd in attendance for her performance got something they weren’t expecting when she brought out a special guest. The special guest she delivered was OJ Da Juiceman. It was particularly surprising that he appeared as the rapper was only very recently released from police custody. He was arrested in Georgia earlier this month after a brief chase with police. Following a search of his car he was hit with drug and gun charges. Due to his recent release his Rolling Loud appearance came as even more of a surprise than most special guests. Check out the clip of him on stage below.

Metro Boomin & Future Hit Rolling Loud Stage With Travis Scott To Tease “Type S***”

To close out Rolling Loud in Inglewood, California this past weekend, Future and Metro Boomin did the honors of being the headlining acts. It seems like it was a huge success for this iconic trap rap hitmaking duo. Some of their standout performances included Quavo joining them to play “Turn Yo Clic Up,” as well as “Mask Off.” However, another one of their surprise guests helped make this segment of their time on stage the talk of the evening. Travis Scott joined Future and Metro Boomin for a live taste of their upcoming collaboration “Type S***.”

This has been the only track that Metro and Future have really promoted ahead of their forthcoming LP We Don’t Trust You. The duo announced the record, along with a second about a week and a half ago. It is scheduled to drop on March 22, with the unnamed follow-up supposedly coming on April 12. This is now the third time this song has been played. Playboi Carti, who can be heard the most in the performance below, previewed the snippet as well.

Metro Boomin & Future Continue To Have Fans Hyped

However, with Metro saying there will be no features on the record, fans are still left hanging on the edge of their seats. This is especially true because there are just four days remaining before we get something from the Georgia icons. There are also some theories floating around that this will be a Carti track for Music. Him and Metro have been reportedly cooking up stuff as of late, so there is that. Wherever it winds up, the song looks to be a hit.

What are your thoughts on Metro Boomin, Future, and Travis Scott teasing their collaboration “Type S***” again at Rolling Loud? Do you think “We Don’t Trust You” will wind up having features? Will this be an album of the year contender, why or why not? Who will do the best on the track? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Metro Boomin, Future, and Travis Scott. Transgender Woman Beat Up During Kanye West’s Rolling Loud Set

Another day, another Kanye West story. According to several social media posts circulating online, a brawl broke out during Kanye West’s Rolling Loud Los Angeles set on Thursday night (March 14).

Footage making the rounds on Twitter (X) suggests the fight blew up after a transgender woman and cis male got into a heated argument. The trans woman wound up with a bloody face after she was punched in the nose. People in the vicinity began to shout as the tussle continued and several tried to intervene. Someone in the background could be heard yelling, “Worldstar!” in what sounded like an effort to fan the flames.

Multiple posts suggest the trans woman got “jumped,” but some on Reddit believe that she was the instigator and simply lost the fight.

Either way, Kanye West’s Rolling Loud appearance wasn’t exactly what fans had hoped it would be. West and his Vultures collaborator, Ty Dolla $ign, headlined the Rolling Loud Los Angeles festival on Thursday (March 14). Many of those who showed up to see them left disappointed by the duo’s set.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, their set amounted to yet another glorified listening party. West reportedly just paced around the stage with a mic in his hand but didn’t actually rap. And despite bringing out Quavo and Freddie Gibbs (who are both featured on the album), they didn’t really rap either. After they all left the stage, an anonymous DJ played roughly a half-hour’s worth of old Kanye West classics, including “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” “All of the Lights” and “Runaway.” And that was that. Kanye West never returned to the stage.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Accused Of “Fleecing” Rolling Loud After Disastrous “Performance”

Ah Kanye West, he never ceases to create controversy everywhere he goes. Despite his blatant antisemitism and seemingly endless social media diatribes, people keep showing up to support him. On Thursday (March 14), West and his Vultures collaborator, Ty Dolla $ign, were pegged to perform at Rolling Loud Los Angeles. In fact, the annual festival actually added a day so they had a slot. But among the hundreds (or thousands) that showed up were many angry fans, who left disappointed by the duo’s set.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, they didn’t actually perform new material from their album—it was essentially another glorified listening party. West reportedly just meandered around the stage with a mic in his hand but didn’t actually rap. If he did, nobody heard it.

Of course, that didn’t stop West from bringing out some of his collaborators. Guests including Quavo and Freddie Gibbs joined the duo onstage—who also just walked around apparently—and at one point, 10-year old North West emerged alongside several of her friends to jump around to “Talking.”

After they all left the stage, an anonymous DJ played roughly a half-hour’s worth of old Kanye West classics, including “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” “All of the Lights” and “Runaway.” He never came back.

Reactions on social media were swift, with many commenting on how Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign basically ripped off Rolling Loud organizers. As one person wrote, “Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign after fleecing Rolling Loud.”

Rolling Loud continues on Saturday (March 16) with performances by Post Malone, $uicide Boy$, Summer Walker, Big Sean, Larry June and Flo Milli, among others. The concert wraps up on Sunday (March 17) with appearances by likes of Future x Metro Boomin, Don Tolliver, Bryson Tiller, Ski Mask the Slump God, NLE Choppa, That Mexican OT and Chief Keef.
