Diddy Accused Of Grooming Usher By Former Bodyguard

Diddy’s former bodyguard Gene Deal claimed Usher was the Hip-Hop mogul’s grooming victim in an interview with the Art of Dialogue. Gene Deal did not understand why Usher spoke positively about Diddy on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast despite their allegedly sordid history.

“I know and people know that was around in that time that Puff [Daddy] and Usher did have a situation,” Diddy’s ex-bodyguard said. “And that situation led Usher to the hospital. Now, I’ll let Usher explain that to y’all. I’ll let Usher tell that story. But how dare you say a man that groomed you, you gonna give him a pass. Bruh, you know I know.”

Usher lived with Diddy for a year when the singer was a teenager. Gene Deal believed Usher should speak out about Diddy’s alleged misdeeds. He seemingly attempted to motivate Usher to do so by telling the story of an uncomfortable incident the former bodyguard witnessed.

“Remember Usher, we was at the Swissôtel,” Gene Deal said. “Puff had Kim [Porter] in the room, had one of Keith Sweat’s baby mothers in the big room outside the master bedroom. He came outside in his robe. He came outside in his robe, she gave him f####### right there. His back was turned to me. She gave him f#######. You knocked on the door. I came and opened the door for you. Puff went in the room. You came in the room and kissed that girl dead in the mouth. Now, I’m telling that because you taking up for somebody that you know and a lot of more people know didn’t do you right when you was at Diddy’s camp.”

Diddy faced multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault. Earlier this week, producer Lil Rod joined the list of people suing Diddy with several bombshell allegations.

Lil Rod’s lawsuit mentioned Diddy having sex with an R&B singer. The name was redacted but observers quickly figured out it was referring to Usher. A note in the lawsuit said the singer performed at the Super Bowl and had a successful Las Vegas residency.

How Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO Tour Llif3” Ushered Emo Rap Into The Mainstream

It goes without saying that Lil Uzi Vert shook up the Hip Hop landscape when they dropped “XO Tour Llif3” in 2017. Since the rapper broke into the scene with Luv is Rage, they have continued to push boundaries and defy genre norms in music. Consequently, their unique fusion of trap beats, punk aesthetics, and emotionally charged lyrics have catapulted them into the limelight. Despite their deserved success now, we could never forget how, with “XO TOUR Llif3,” Lil Uzi introduced a new sound to the big stage. The Diamond-certified single turned seven on February 27, 2024, and yet, its impact continues to be felt. Here’s how Lil Uzi Vert used the groundbreaking track to usher emo rap into the mainstream.

The Emergence Of Emo Rap

Emo rap is a subgenre of Hip Hop that was popularized in the mid-2010s, characterized by its emotional and introspective lyrics. It often touches on themes like depression, heartbreak, and personal struggles, motifs Lil Uzi effortlessly conveys in their music. When artists like Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, and Juice WRLD began to explore similar themes within their music, it resonated with millions of listeners. Likewise, Lil Uzi Vert is another exemplary artist from that era, and “XO Tour Llife” put their name on the map forever.

Due to the emotional content in many of their hits, Lil Uzi Vert is often associated with this genre. When they debuted, their music was noticeably peculiar, blurring the lines between rap, rock, and punk. Undeniably, Uzi’s music defied easy categorization. Before long, the rapper’s distinct style and eclectic sound became a symbol of the evolving genre. The energetic delivery in their music, coupled with introspective and often melancholic lyrics, appealed to a wide audience. These audiences were hungry for a new, emotionally charged musical experience, and Uzi was there to supply it to them.

The Breakout Moment: “XO Tour Llif3”

image

On March 24, 2017, Lil Uzi released “XO Tour Llife” as the lead single from their debut album Luv is Rage 2. Surprisingly, it soon became a sleeper hit, peaking at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Presumably recorded during The Weeknd‘s European leg of Starboy: Legend Of The Fall, “XO Tour Llife” is the breakout track that pushed both Lil Uzi Vert and emo rap onto the main stage of the music industry. The song’s haunting melody, paired with Lil Uzi’s raw and vulnerable lyrics, struck a chord with listeners grappling with the same or similar issues.

By the end of 2017, it had impressively garnered over one billion audio and video streams across major platforms. Evidently, the song had found its audience, and they were loving it. “XO Tour Llif3” contains themes of betrayal, heartbreak, drug use, and emotional turmoil which are vividly painted in the lyrics. Despite these themes that are typically perceived as dark, listeners were hooked. The song’s chorus, with its memorable refrain, became an anthem and resonated beyond traditional Hip Hop circles.

“XO TOUR Llif3” not only dominated the charts but also paved the way for other emo rap artists. After its release, the song was quickly dubbed an emo rap anthem and helped push the subgenre forward. Interestingly enough, on the same day that Lil Uzi Vert released his debut album, Luv Is Rage 2, fellow emo rap pioneer, XXXTENTACION, also dropped his debut album, 17, which was not only a commercial success but became a seminal body of work within the subgenre.

Conclusion

Without a doubt, Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO TOUR Llif3” significantly contributed to catalyzing the mainstream acceptance of emo rap. The song broke down barriers and showcased the power of blending emotional depth with rhythmic beats. As an artist unafraid to push boundaries, Lil Uzi Vert’s impact on the genre continues to reverberate. With “XO Tour Llife,” they certainly left a mark on the ever-changing landscape of contemporary Hip Hop.

Andrew Tate Asks If Diddy Was Having Sex With Meek Mill and Usher

Controversial social media personality Andrew Tate is questioning if Diddy had sex with Meek Mill and Usher following allegations made in the latest lawsuit against Puff.

Andrew Tate Questions Details of New Diddy Lawsuit

On Wednesday (Feb. 28), Andrew Tate weighed in on the latest Diddy lawsuit brought forward by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, which accuses the Bad Boy Entertainment founder of sexual assault, harassment and several other damning allegations. In a post Tate shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, he reposted one of his tweets from December of 2023, which reads: “I am the most famous man in the world and avoid speaking to famous people because theyre all gay and weird.”

He replied to his own post, “So P Diddy was having sex with Meek Mill and Usher?”

Neither Meek Mill nor Usher are named in the new lawsuit. However, Lil Rod claims Diddy told him he had sexual intercourse with a rapper and R&B singer whose names are redacted on the 73-page court filing. The rapper is characterized as “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.” The singer is listed as performing “at the Super Bowl and having a successful Vegas residency.” Lil Rod also claims to have seen this same rapper “consorting with underage girls” on Diddy’s yacht.

Meek Mill has yet to address the lawsuit.

Diddy Denies Allegations in Lawsuit

Diddy’s attorney Shawn Holley has released a statement to XXL in response to Jones’ lawsuit.

“Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday,” the statement reads. “His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines. We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”

Usher “Cinco” Raymond V

Usher “Cinco” Raymond V is the first of two kids shared by Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Foster. He was born on November 27, 2007, and has been showered with love by his father ever since. When he was five years old, Cinco nearly drowned, but thankfully was saved just in time, and recovered. Subsequently, at the age of six, Cinco was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Usher has admitted that this diagnosis made co-parenting with Foster complicated because of the level of commitment required to manage the disease. However, they were able to find a way to make it work. Despite the fame, Cinco prefers to separate himself from his dad and does not like to be called Usher. However, the 16-year-old does not love his father any less.

Naviyd Ely Raymond

Born on December 10, 2008, Naviyd Ely Raymond is the second of two kids shared by Usher and Tameka Foster. Following his divorce from Foster in 2009, Usher was granted full custody of both Cinco and Naviyd. Since then, the “Yeah” singer has proudly taken on the responsibility of fatherhood fully. According to Usher, the 15-year-old Naviyd is a fan of entertainment and enjoys seeing his dad perform. Usher welcomed the first of his two kids with Jennifer Goicoechea on September 24, 2020. While the child arrived a month earlier than expected, thankfully, there were no complications with the delivery. Besides being his first child with Goicoechea, Sovereign Bo is also Usher’s only daughter. In an interview with Extra in May 2021, the singer revealed why he named his daughter Sovereign Bo. “Sovereign, man, is such a beautiful word and name to me. You know, a supreme ruler is obviously the defined name. She’s definitely ruling the household, but Sovereign Bo — Bo is at the end of it, so she’s my little ‘reign-bo’,” he shared.

Sire Castrello

The youngest of the singer’s kids, Sire Castrello was born to Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea on September 29, 2021. Sire arrived almost exactly a year after Sovereign, and the two could pass as twins. Since his birth, the two-year-old has made several appearances on his father’s Instagram. Sire’s very first appearance was in October 2021 when Usher revealed that he had arrived a month before. Undeniably, Usher is a proud and happy father to his son and seems to dote on him every chance he gets.

Usher says he laughed with Swizz Beatz about his viral performance with Alicia Keys at the 2024 Super Bowl. The singer also discusses the regret he has for smacking Nicki Minaj‘s butt when they performed together back in 2014.

Usher Talks Super Bowl Halftime Show and More on The Breakfast Club

On Monday (Feb. 19), Usher was a guest on The Breakfast Club, a week after he performed at the 2024 Super Bowl. The Atlanta crooner addressed the elephant in the room: his intimate performance of “My Boo” with Alicia Keys that had the internet going nuts.

“In no way anything that was done there should have been viewed as bad or in any way perverted or anything like that,” Usher said around the 20:30-mark of the video below. “It was literally about having fun because of a song that me and Alicia made many years ago. And we celebrate it because of the legacy of it and no disrespect to anybody or anything like that.”

When asked if him, Swizz Beatz, who is Alicia’s husband, and Alicia laughed about the backlash Usher received, he confirmed they all did. “Absolutely,” Usher revealed. “We laughed about it. It’s crazy how people pick and handle. It’s all about how you present things. But it’s all love.”

After Usher’s performance with Alicia Keys went viral, many people brought up his performance in 2014 at the MTV Video Music Awards with Nicki Minaj where he smacked Nicki’s but, appearing to annoy the rapper. He also addressed that incident on The Breakfast Club.

“By the way, that was Jamaican culture, you gotta go to Jamaica,” Usher said. “That was just me having fun…I think I was reaching a bit when I smacked her, though. I shouldn’t have smacked her.”

BVNK ushers in ‘BVNK Season’

Denver rap artist and songwriter BVNK  follows his Emo Season N Tough Times project, with his sophomore release entitled BVNK Season. The 8-track body of work is all about self-love and finding one’s center through all the madness. The project sees him working with his longtime collaborators Viikaden and Yemi25, with additional contributions from Miami beatsmith Luda Bandz and Atlanta duo TrackTeam. The result is a blend of hip-hop/trap, R&B/future soul vibes that are peppered by BVNK’s smooth melodic raps and evocative lyrics that detail his fears, hopes, dreams, and more.

The project starts with the introductory track “My Life” where the rapper is in his element as he details his journey as a man taking control of his life amidst external forces trying to break him down. This is followed by the videogame-esque “Impatient” where he attempts to fix a toxic relationship. He displays his melodic style to the fullest on that track and delivers a solid performance ripe with relatable lyrics. “Know Me” is a bouncy catchy tune that has a summer vibe and BVNK’s versatile approach plays a central role here. ON “Different” he makes use of a cinematic and moody production as his backdrop and he delivers an offbeat and sparse performance while diving into his growth within a blossoming relationship. Other solid joints include the spiritually grounded track “Blessings” where he appreciates the small mercies afforded to him, the uplifting “Oh U” with its somber and dreamy textures to the solemn piano chords on the closing track “Float II”

Overall, BVNK Season ticks all boxes and delivers copious amounts of catchy melodies, hooks and relatable topics that listeners can rock with.

Tana Mongeau Net Worth 2024: Updated Wealth Of The YouTube Star

Tana Mongeau stands out as a prominent figure in the ever-evolving world of internet celebrities. As of 2024, Tana Mongeau’s net worth is estimated to be around $4 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. But how did she amass such wealth, and what makes her journey unique?

Born on June 24, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tana Mongeau’s path to stardom began in the very city known for its glitz and glamour. Growing up in Vegas, she was exposed to a myriad of experiences that would later fuel her content. In 2015, she launched her self-titled YouTube channel, quickly gaining traction and amassing millions of viewers.

A Flourishing Career

Tana’s primary platform is YouTube, where she boasts more than 5 million subscribers. She’s renowned for her “Storytime” videos, where she narrates various experiences from her life. But her endeavors aren’t limited to YouTube. She has ventured into the music industry and even had a stint on MTV with her show Tana Turns 21.

In 2018, she organized TanaCon, an event that garnered significant attention, albeit for the wrong reasons. The convention was frequently likened to the infamous Fyre Fest, leading to a wave of attendees demanding refunds. Tana addressed the situation by issuing refunds and producing a three-part documentary about the event.

Her career also saw her starring in YouTube original series. She appeared in episodes of Shane and Friends and played a role in the murder mystery show Escape the Night. In the same year as her MTV reality series debut, she featured in another YouTube series titled No Filter.

Capitalizing On Controversy

One of Tana’s defining traits is her ability to leverage controversy. In 2017, she faced arrest for underage drinking at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Instead of shying away from the incident, she commercialized it by selling t-shirts with her mugshot, generating a whopping $40,000 in just two days.

However, the nature of her content has often led to demonetization on YouTube. Unlike many YouTubers who earn significantly from ad revenues, Tana’s controversial content means she doesn’t benefit as much from the platform’s advertising. To bridge this gap, she has ventured into selling merchandise. She also created sponsored content for brands that appreciate her authentic approach.

Tana’s personal life, too, has been a topic of interest for many. Her relationships, especially with fellow internet personalities Jake Paul and Bella Thorne, have been widely discussed. Beyond her personal life, Tana has participated in various ventures. These include collaborations with other celebrities and influencers.

Conclusion

Tana Mongeau shows the power of the internet and the new age of celebrity it has ushered in. With a net worth of $4 million in 2024, she has successfully navigated the challenges of the digital age. Her story is a blend of talent and controversy, making her one of the most intriguing figures in online entertainment.
