Christine McVie confirmed the news on The One Show, Tuesday night, while talking about her new album collaboration with bandmate Lindsey Buckingham.
Christine said Stevie Nicks will also be back in the line-up along with founders Mick Fleetwood and John McVie.
“We’re going to start rehearsing in March, next year,” she told Alex Jones. “The tour is around June. It will be global.”
Christine dubbed it the farewell tour which could mean it’s the last opportunity to see them live with the full line-up.
Fleetwood Mac are famous for their in-band fights and fall outs, and it sounds like there was another one over Christine and Lindsey’s duets album.
Stevie was confused as to why they didn’t include her in the concept McVie/Buckingham, especially as Mick and John featured on it too.
“I’ve been on the road solo] since last September, so I don’t understand their premise,” Stevie told Rolling Stone.
“Christine was gone from the group] for 16 years and came back, did a massive tour, and then it’s like, ‘Now I’m just gonna go back to London and sit in my castle for two years’? She wanted to keep working.”
Luckily, Stevie didn’t let that affect her role on the farewell tour.
She added: “I will be back with them at the end the year for, I think, another tour. I just needed my two years f. Until then, I wish them the best in whatever they do.”
