Katy Perry’s new song sounds like a Taylor Swift diss track

Swish Swish is the new single from Katy Perry’s new album, Witness, and is a cutting attack on a person trying to drag them down.

Many people see this as a direct response to Taylor’s Bad Blood which was totally about Katy.

Katy sings: “Don’t you come for me, no, not today, you’re calculated, I got your number ’cause you’re a joker and I’m a courtside killer queen.”

The feud between Katy and Taylor has been heavily documented, and it seemed to have begun when Taylor’s dancers quit her tour to work on Katy’s.

And now Perry has put more power behind her musical clapback by getting Nicki Minaj to collaborate.

Nicki and Taylor had their own beef when Swift decided to take the rapper’s criticism the Grammys as a personal attack.

Taylor apologised and performed with Nicki at another awards show but this Nicki lyric in Swish Swish seems pretty loaded and could reference her beef with the Shake It Off singer.

“Don’t be tryna double back, I already despise you,” Minaj raps. “All that fake love you showin’, couldn’t even disguise you.”

Many people have been discussing the “diss track” on Twitter. Some are loving it.

Others do not appreciate the Taylor association:
