LIAM Payne admits he’s not a fan of Harry Styles’ solo music

The Strip That Down singer was talking to Nick Grimshaw on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show when he revealed his 1D preferences.

"It’s a tough question, going more towards my musical tastes, I’d say Slow Hands has been one my favourites," Liam said.

"Even going down to Zayn’s release, with Pillowtalk, I think that was a great song as well."

Liam had previously admitted that he wasn't a fan Harry Styles' music.

I’ll be honest with you, it’s not my sort music. It’s not something I’d listen to, but I think he did a great job doing what he wanted to do. That’s the way I’d put it best, I think," Payne said.

“I think the funny thing is, Harry] would say the same thing about me because he doesn’t really listen to hip-hop music, whereas it’s like my song’s more Tyga's] Rack City and his song is more a different era to something I’d listen to, I guess.”

Harry released his debut solo album last week, showing that he'd gone in a more indie rock direction.

Louis Tomlinson's collaboration with Steve Aoki is firmly in the dance music category while Niall Horan's This Town and Slow Hands is in the guitar pop territory.

Like Zayn, Liam is positioning himself in the R&B genre and Strip That Down is indicative that.

The song was co-written by Ed Sheeran and features US rap trio Migos, and seems to be about falling for Cheryl after the One Direction hiatus.
