Linkin Park have confirmed that they will be cancelling their upcoming US tour.
The news comes after band frontman Chester Bennington sadly took his own life, following a difficult battle with mental health issues.
Taking to Twitter, promoters Live Nation announced the news on Friday night, where they also promised refunds to all ticket-holders.
The tweet read: “The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been cancelled. Refunds avail at point purchase. Our thoughts to all affected.”
Linkin Park’s US leg the tour was set to kick f in Massachusetts’ Xfinity Center on July 27.
A spokesperson for the company said: “We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing Chester Bennington.”
Unsurprisingly, after seeing the tweet many the band’s fans were quick to send support for the decision.
“Well never be forgotten. Linkin Park for life!!!” said one social media user.
While another added: “The saddest thing about this is that there is a whole world people out here who relate to his lyrics.”
“This was inevitable. Sad, but inevitable,” wrote a third.
