Adam Lance posted a video rant on his social media page to complain about the cost two tickets to see the band on their 20th anniversary reunion tour, Party on the Dancefloor.
Steps tour tickets went onsale last week – with five additional dates – at prices between £36.90* to £45.40* and Steptacular View tickets cost £133.50* (*booking fee included).
According to Lance, the Manchester Evening News Arena were only selling tickets for about £100 each.
“I forgive, but I won’t forget,” he says in his Facebook video viewed over 300,000 times, “£100 each! £200 for both them! I could go on holiday to Benidorm for £250 all inclusive – flights, accommodation, unlimited alcohol, for a week.
“This is supposed to be 20 years celebrating Steps, right, and they are supposed to be loyal to their fans. There’s nothing loyal about that!
“Steps, if you get this video, any one you, and one the five you get hold this video, I’m a loyal fan but I’m not spending £200 to see you.”
It sounds like Adam should have probably got his tickets when they first came out but we do feel his pain.
Steps released their first new single from the upcoming album, Tears on the Dancefloor, last Friday.
“Scared the Dark,” harks back to their original pop disco sound and it briefly knocked Ed Sheeran’s “Galway Girl” f the top the iTunes singles chart.
Their tour kicks f this November. Tears on the Dancefloor is out on April 21.
