This Zara Larsson song was SO obviously written by Ed Sheeran

So Good was released on Friday March 17, featuring fifteen tracks that include her hit singles “Never Forget You” and “Lush Life”.

Zara’s album features numerous collaborations with the likes MNEK, Clean Bandit and Ty Dolla $ign, but one in particular was so obviously written by Ed Sheeran.

“Don’t Let Me Be Yours” features Ed on backing vocals during the pre-chorus and chorus, as well as his syncopated guitar melody on the verses.

Famed songwriter Steve Mac is credited as a writer and producer along with Zara, Ed and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid.

Speaking about working with Zara on the track and separately with Anne-Marie, Ed said “I don’t know if either are on their albums], but I did do two sessions.

“They’re really, really talented. I’ve never been in the studio with two sort new singers who just nail it the first time. They literally walked in, sung it, and walked out.”

The Swedish pop sensation will perform her debut headline London show at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 7th June.

Pre-sale tickets available Wednesday at 9am. All further tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am.

Zara Larsson’s “Don’t Let Me Be Yours” lyrics

Verse 1]
I may know myself, but I realise that I can’t be let astray
I know, I know that you’re bad for my health
But I don’t care, I want you anyway
Aye, yeah

Boy, you think that you know me
Oh, but you can’t see my lonely heart
Things look different in the mornin’, oh
That’s when we find out who we are
Would you still want me?
Without no makeup on my face
Without alcohol in your veins?
Oh, would you baby?
Would you still love me?
With all the promises you make
Would you still mean the words you say?
Oh, would you baby? Yeah
