Lauryn Hill Surprises Fans At Son YG Marley’s Coachella Set With Mini Fugees Reunion

YG Marley surprised fans during his Coachella set by bringing out his mother Lauryn Hill and a couple of other heavy hitters.

On Sunday afternoon (April 14) concertgoers at the Coachella Main Stage were treated to a special appearance from the iconic singer and rapper who performed a medley of her hits, including classics like “Ex-Factor” and “Lost Ones.”

She also put on a mini Fugees reunion with Wyclef Jean for “Fu-Gee-La” and “Killing Me Softly,” minus fellow group member Pras.

Although Pras was missing, Hill’s son stepped in for his verse on “Ready Or Not.” Wyclef told the crowd, “When you put YG Marley and The Fugees together, this is what it sounds like.”

YG Marley had more to come, introducing Busta Rhymes and his longtime right-hand man Spliff Star. Busta rocked the crowd with some of his most popular tracks opening with “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See.”

The group paid tribute to YG’s legendary grandfather, Bob Marley performing some of his hits including “One Love.”

Later in the show, YG Marley delivered his first single, “Praise Jah in the Moonlight,” which was co-written by Lauryn Hill and samples Bob Marley & the Wailers’ 1978 song “Crisis.”

He first debuted the song during his mother’s 2023 tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of her 1998 debut solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The song proved popular and YG Marley released it on DSPs in December.

YG & Devin Haney Talk Attending Diddy’s Parties: “Always Hoes”

Professional prizefighter Devin Haney sat down with YG for the West Coast MC’s 4Hunnid podcast. The conversation included both men recalling their experiences partying with accused sex trafficker Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Devin Haney is set to face Ryan Garcia in Brooklyn, New York on April 20. Garcia trolled Haney by wearing a shirt with a picture of him and Diddy in a swimming pool.

When questioned about Ryan Garcia’s pre-match jab, Haney responded, “Diddy had a bunch of hoes at his house. I made my way to the house, and s###, what the f###?”

Then Devin Haney asked YG if he ever attended one of Diddy’s infamous functions. The 4Hunnid Records head replied, “Definitely… Always hoes. It’s a lot of b######. I be in there with the b###### and all that.”

Diddy remains at the center of attention because of multiple lawsuits alleging the Bad Boy Records founder sexually abused women and men. In addition, Department of Homeland Security officials raided his LosnAngeles and Miami homes on March 25.

Federal agents supposedly seized computers and other electronic devices from Diddy’s residences. Reports suggest DHS started a sex trafficking investigation into Sean Combs.

More information about the allegations against Diddy could be highlighted further. Several production companies have greenlit documentaries about the Grammy winner’s legal issues. Combs continues to deny all sexual misconduct allegations against him.

Diddy’s Former Bodyguard, Gene Deal, Expresses Readiness To Testify Against Rapper In Near Future

Things continue to ramp up in all of the wrong ways for Diddy. Everyday there is a new story, a different angle on a past headline, or new people speaking out against him. However, out all of the recent developing stories, the home raids were perhaps what caught most people’s attention. His Los Angeles and Miami homes were ransacked by Homeland Security Investigation teams, and it led many wondering how Diddy was not retained during them. But it seems that it will take more and more witnesses coming forward to place the mogul in court. Gene Deal, a former bodyguard for Diddy, can be added to the list of people willing to testify.

According to AllHipHop, Deal expressed his feelings about everything surrounding the rapper and businessman in an interview with The Art Of Dialogue. People have been reaching out to Gene in every way, saying that he is trying to purposefully drag Diddy’s name through the mud. However, he feels he has more than enough proof to make a compelling case. “I get all kinds of hate mail, IG’s, talking about that I am trying to take a Black man down. No, I went through every step you are supposed to go through when you got an issue with a man,” Gene explained.

Gene Deal Does Not Feel Bad For Diddy

“By him doing the things he did, and taking the avenue he took, he’s suffering the consequences, and I don’t feel bad at all.” Gene also feels that when “Money, Power & Respect” by The LOX, DMX, and Lil’ Kim came out, he thinks Diddy had that message of the song “a** backwards.” “You got your respect in the street, that gave you your power, that brought you your money… Do I care what happens? Got enough money to buy his way out of it… so we think.” He even believes that the rapper could commit su*cide in prison because he is a “narcissist.”

What are your thoughts on former Diddy bodyguard Gene Deal willing to testify about the mogul? Does this surprise you at all, why or why not? What do you think the rapper’s fate will be and how soon will he be heading to court? Do you think Gene will be the most important witness throughout this process? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Diddy’s Troubles Worsen As Former Bodyguard Signals Willingness To Testify Against Mogul

Gene Deal, the former bodyguard of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has publicly announced his willingness to testify against the music mogul amid ongoing investigations into Diddy’s business and personal conduct.

This revelation comes in the wake of federal raids on Diddy’s residences by Homeland Security Investigations, probing allegations of sex trafficking linked to the entrepreneur and entertainment powerhouse.

Deal, who has previously shared insights into his time working for Diddy and the events he witnessed, emphasized his readiness to step forward in a video discussion with The Art of Dialogue.

“I get all kinds of hate mail, IG’s, talking about that I am trying to take a black man down. No, I went through every step you are supposed to go through when you got an issue with a man,” Gene Deal said. “By him doing the things he did, and taking the avenue he took, he’s suffering the consequences, and I don’t feel bad at all.

“They messed up the game when they put out that “Money, Power, Respect’ [by The Lox featuring DMX and Lil Kim] it aint never been like that. You got your respect in the street, that gave you your power, that brought you your money. He had it ass backward. Do I care what happens? Got enough money to buy his way out of it…so we think,” Gene Deal said, adding that Diddy might even commit suicide.

So far, Diddy has been compelled to relinquish shares in his cable network, Revolt, following claims of sexual misconduct and stepped away from his involvement with the Harlem and Bronx-based charter school Capital Prep.

The raids on Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami mark a substantial escalation in the Federal investigation, focusing on accusations from multiple individuals of sexual assault, rape, and sex trafficking.

These operations, described by Diddy’s legal team as an “unprecedented ambush,” were aimed at gathering evidence to support the allegations.

Despite the aggressive nature of the raids, Diddy was neither arrested nor detained, although his cooperation with the authorities was highlighted.

Gene Deal’s intimate knowledge of Diddy’s personal and professional life, garnered through his years as a critical figure in Diddy’s security detail, positions him as a potentially pivotal witness should he choose to testify.

Deal’s relationship with Diddy traces back to a shared affiliation with a New York City gang, a bond that initially brought them together and led to Deal’s role protecting the founder of Bad Boy Records.

As the investigation into Diddy’s alleged involvement in sex trafficking advances, the testimony of insiders like Gene Deal could verify the accusations against the mogul and possibly send him to prison.

Boosie BadAzz Questions Why None of Diddy’s Partygoers Defend Him

Boosie BadAzz is curious why no one who attended Diddy‘s parties over the years has come to his defense in the wake of numerous lawsuits against him.

Boosie BadAzz Asks Why Diddy’s Partygoers Aren’t Speaking Up For Him

On Friday (March 29), Boosie BadAzz hopped on Instagram Live and rattled off a few thoughts that have been floating around in his brain ever since Diddy’s homes were raided by the Department of Homeland Security on Monday (March 25).

“I don’t hear none of them n***as that was toasting at Diddy’s with that champagne every year, having speeches with mane, nobody speak up for this mane or nothing,” Boosie said. “When you on top of the world, it’s a celebration. When you on the bottom, it’s a denial-ation. All of them muthaf***as all with their suits on, and their cups up. Ain’t nobody saying nothing. Boy this world, boy.”

50 Cent Questions Where Jay-Z Has Been

Boosie isn’t the only rapper wondering the whereabouts of some of Diddy’s closest friends. 50 Cent has been relentlessly critiquing Puffy’s misfortune ever since the raids, but took a moment on Monday to inquire about Jay-Z’s location. In his usual trolling fashion, 50 photoshopped Hov’s face on a milk carton—an homage to the way missing children pictures would appear on milk cartons in the 1980s.

“Anybody seen J?” 50 captioned the post. “LOL [lauging emojis] puff said the [ninja emoji] ain’t answering his phone. LOL.”

Regardless of the trolling, and the federal government’s reported sex trafficking probe against him, Diddy doesn’t seem to be sweating it. He was seen enjoying a day out and about with his daughters on Friday and flashed the peace sign to paparazzi.

YG Brings Saweetie To Rolling Loud L.A., Couple Shuts Down Breakup Rumors

YG and Saweetie are apparently still going strong, as the former brought the latter out during his Rolling Loud performance in Los Angeles on Friday (March 15). Moreover, rumors and reports previously indicated that the two went their separate ways in early January, but their onstage PDA suggests that they either changed their minds or never broke up in the first place. “I love you girl,” the Cali rapper told his fellow Cali rapper as she made her way offstage following their steamy interlude. The two have been together since around May of 2023, and with their anniversary coming up, maybe their bond will feel stronger than ever.

However, we can’t say that this reunion is all that surprising, considering that fans were already starting to put two and two together. For example, Saweetie’s recent Instagram post from back in February had fans thinking that she hadn’t broken up with YG yet. Not only that, but news of their split was coming from other sources and reports that weren’t either of the MCs directly. As such, there were plenty of reasons to wait and see what they did, and we’re glad we waited to get this Rolling Loud guest slot.

Saweetie & YG At Rolling Loud L.A. 2024: Watch

Elsewhere, both artists are celebrating a lot these days and basking in their success and acclaim. For Saweetie, this recently manifested in a new single “Richtivities,” a stunning appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, and an alleged incident with Cardi B at this event. This is just more hearsay and gossip, but one that’s also based on fan interpretation of the Bronx rapper’s recount. Perhaps we’ll never know if they really ran into each other here.

Meanwhile, the Still Brazy spitter was one of many guests on Ye and Ty Dolla $ign‘s VULTURES 1. Their collab “DO IT” is among the more fun and bouncy cuts on the record, even if its second half is pretty much just “Back That Azz Up.” But can’t we all revisit what we love? Seems like this couple took a cue from those sessions. Fo more news and the latest updates on YG and Saweetie, come back to HNHH.
