Pooh Shiesty’s Father Set To Be Released From Federal Custody, Per Judge’s Order
Federal court records indicate that Lontrell Williams Sr., the father of Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty, is scheduled for release from federal custody. A judge has officially lifted a temporary stay order that had previously delayed his release.
This development is the latest in an ongoing federal kidnapping and robbery case involving the rapper—legally known as Lontrell Williams Jr.—alongside several alleged associates. The charges stem from a violent confrontation that reportedly occurred inside a Texas recording studio.
Federal prosecutors have alleged that the incident involved Gucci Mane and two additional individuals. According to court filings, authorities have connected nine men to the case, including Williams Jr., Williams Sr., and rapper Big30 (Rodney Wright Jr.). Other defendants named in the indictment include Kedarius Waters, Damarian Gipson, Demarcus Glover, Kordae Johnson, and Darrion McDaniel. A ninth suspect, Terrence Rodgers, remains at large.
The case has garnered significant public attention due to the high-profile nature of the music figures involved and the severity of the allegations. Prosecutors claim that during the confrontation, Pooh Shiesty brandished an AK-style firearm and coerced a victim into signing a recording contract release under the threat of violence. Furthermore, authorities allege that the defendants stole luxury items, including Rolex watches, jewelry, and cash, while preventing individuals from leaving the studio.
While Lontrell Williams Sr. has secured his release, the broader federal prosecution continues. Legal proceedings against the remaining defendants are ongoing, and prosecutors have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges or arrests. Pooh Shiesty is currently scheduled to appear for trial on July 6.
