David GotSound puts his ten toes down during the “Calm Before The Storm”
UK emcee/producer David GotSound teams up with a friend and long-time collaborator Pyro K, who crafts a somber piano-laden beat for his vivid and insightful lyrics. The rapper is in his element and delivers a heartfelt and confident performance ripe with bravado and evocative lyrics. He reflects on his journey and all the hurdles he has to overcome and counts his blessings as he is still here to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
Having taken a short hiatus from releasing music, “Calm Before The Storm” marks the return of rising Bexley artist, David GotSound who got into music at the age of nine. His moniker GotSound was added later when he started producing and has a background in Grime and also UK Garage, Hip Hop, and Electronica.
David is focused on giving listeners creative content from the perspective of a young Black man trying to fulfill his dreams in London, whilst also navigating the rest of life at the same time. It’s an exciting time for the rapper as he teases his upcoming project, entitled Greatness Isn’t Given, this EP is a manifesto detailing David’s unbridled ambition and his sharpened focus.
