Rory shares new project entitled ‘This Is Me’

Emerging rapper Rory makes his entry on our site with his new project entitled This Is Me. The 10 track body of work is an exploration into his life experiences and what makes him tick.

The project opens up with the title track “This Is Me,” a moody track that sees the rapper detailing who he really is. He makes use of a cinematic and dark backdrop and delivers a somewhat impassioned performance to bring it to fruition. On “Love Letter” he pens an adulation piece to the women in his life over a sublime and atmospheric backdrop. He is joined by singer Sarah Herzog who kills it with a soothing melodic chorus. On tracks like “Depression” and “Not What I Asked For” he tackles real-time issues from his own perspective. The former is a moody and melancholic piece on mental health and depression and the emotions that come with it while the latter delves into the groundhog day feeling in the early days of the pandemic. Both tracks showcase Rory’s mental state and his coping mechanism as he maneuvers through life’s obstacles with determination and hope. In “One Day” he shows how he struggles with inner demons and how it affects his relationship, hee he is honest and acknowledges his faults and takes steps to become a better person. The project closes out with the bonus cut “4 Verses” which sees him flexing his lyrical muscles over four different backdrops.

Overall, the project is a snapshot of Rory’s life and it’s filled with relatable topics that everyone can learn from.
