Rxtherapper shows us how ‘Life After Life’ looks like

After dropping a slew of singles and freestyles, indie rapper Rxtherapper steps to the forefront with a 7 track offering titled Life After Life. A collaborative body of work with 80 Empire, ripe with a variety of topics from real-time issues to personal insights over a varied soundscape.

The project opens up with the previously released single “Fairytales” which features an intro by DJ EFN and a solid verse from legendary lyricist Chino XL. The sober track reflects on the facade people put up in order to fit in and the unnecessary circles we sometimes put ourselves in. This is followed by the cinematic textures of  “Angels and Demons” which sees RX reflecting on inner demons and the inner struggle he has to overcome. On “HEAVEN PT. 1”  he shares some sad stories of individuals who went through personal hell and the cards life dealt them threw them for a loop. RX employs a soothing and solemn backdrop to deliver his thoughts in a very concise and precise manner. The sounds switch into a soulful jazzy vibe on “if Only She Knew” where RX displays his storytelling skill once more and dives into the dynamics of broken relationships and a cheating partner. The lyrics are vivid and draws the listeners deep into the action as we see two couples go through the emotions of an embattled love triage.
The project closes up with the previously released single upbeat track “Uno” and it’s pure bravado from start to finish on this one. Joining him on the track is fellow emcee San Quinn who sets the tone with his vibrant and impassioned flow.
The project is quite short but serves as an interim project till RX drops a full-length project.
