Sophie Faith finds her true north within the “Pinky Blues”
London-based Singer/Songwriter Sophie Faith is slowly building her rep with her eclectic live shows and genre-fusing music which blends Neo-Soul, Jazz and a dash of Hip-Hop into her repertoire. After appearing on the scene in 2017, she garnered quite a buzz with her music being streamed by the millions but she took some time off in 2019 to focus on herself and now she returns with the new single “Pinky Blues” which serves as the lead single from her forthcoming debut EP.
“Pinky Blues” is a smooth love ballad bolstered by a bluesy jazz soundscape provided by Linden Jay. The drums are soft, the basslines are pulsating and the guitar-laden textures are sublime and perfectly match Sophie’s sultry melodic runs and evocative songwriting that details the dynamics of fledgling love between two individuals trying to work out the kinks.
“Pinky Blues” is the follow-up single to her March single release “Something I Said”.
Sophie Faith will embark on a run of headline shows at Manchester’s Blues Kitchen, Brighton’s The Green Door Store and London’s Village Underground, booked across October and November. Promising to put on the ‘show of her life, the shows will undeniably cement Sophie as an exceptional talent in the UK and beyond.
