THE WEEKLY TOP 5 VIDEOS [EPISODE 51 ]

Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 5 Videos. This is a segment where we will be looking at some exceptional visuals from various acts from around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades and through the 90s and 2000s, it has really taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but rather highlight some of the creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

KOSHA DILLZ – “Death Con 3 {Kanye West Diss}”

Kosha Dillz leads the charge in “Death Con 3 {Kanye West Diss}” as he takes Ye to the cleaners. Over a frenzied synth-laden backdrop, Kosha holds nothing back as he unleashes the verbal hammer on Ye for his consistent antisemitic remarks which have unleashed the floodgates of hatred online and in real life. Beyond that, he also addresses some real-time issues affecting the Jewish community as a whole.

L.Teez x Clerel – “Never Thought”

“Never Thought” is the lead song off L.Teez’s new LP Studio Blue. The track is a heartfelt and soulful tune that explores the importance of having a perfect support system and being able to travel around the world and experience new and exciting things. Over a smooth R&B/soul soundscape, he gives listeners a glimpse into his life as an artist and tops it up with an alluring melodic chorus to wrap it up. The visual captures the artist’s travels in different spots and also some retro videos that document his life in a snapshot.

Chuuwee – “MoonShine” (feat. Unkle Pill)

Chuuwee returns with his new single with a music video titled “MoonShine” featuring Unkle Pill. The Westcoast bounce is pronounced and Chuuwee’s devil may care flow blends perfectly while Unkle Phil comes through with his gruff flow. The visual has a DIY feel and makes use of several fast cuts and performance shots.  This is the third and last single taken from his upcoming album “Dio.”, out next Friday, November 4th. The song is produced by Money Montage. Album Pre-Order here.

Digging for Kanky – “Murder” (Featuring D’Lyfa Reilly)

“Murder” by Diggin For Kanky and D’Lyfa Reilly is a profound look into the mind of a murderer. Bolstered by a brooding and sparse soundscape, the rappers deliver a haunting performance ripe with a vivid lyrical display that digs deep into the dark psyche. The accompanying animated visual takes it a step further with its gritty depictions and eye catchy storytelling.

Korsah – “Hater”

“Hater” is a melodic, mesmeric visual that sees emerging singer/songwriter Korsah recounting lost friendships while living his best life. As the title suggests, it is a middle finger anthem to the naysayers and detractors and Korsah has no qualms about letting them know his candid thoughts. The visual is quite stylish and showcases the rapper in his element as he does his thing with his squad.

Trizz x Mike Summers – HOLLYWOOD, OH HOLLYWOOD”.

“HOLLYWOOD, OH HOLLYWOOD” is from Trizz and MIKE SUMMERS‘ album BASELINE CAVI which was released on September 16th. Now the duo return with the visuals directed by DMT Media Bros. The bouncy and somewhat cinematic beat is layered and matches Trizz’s unapologetic lyrics and no-nonsense flow. The visual captures several parts of the city and Trizz’s laidback fashion style and demeanor.
