NBA Youngboy Associate Arrested For The Murder Of Gee Money
Up-and-coming Baton Rouge rapper Da Real Gee Money [real name Garrett Burton] was shot and killed back in 2017, and they finally have a suspect in custody.
WAFB 9 news out of Baton Rouge is reporting that NBA Youngboy associate Deandre Demarcus Fields, 24, of New Roads, was arrested Friday, June 7 for the shooting death of Garrett Burton, 22 (A.K.A. Gee Money), that happened on Sept. 10, 2017, on Dallas Drive.
Fields was booked for second-degree murder, while police are still investigating the incident.
The arrest comes less than a month after the deadly shootout in Miami involving NBA YoungBoy's crew.
Authorities are investigating whether that incident is also tied to the longstanding feud between crews.
