Kodak Black just cut a deal in his federal firearms case. The rapper was in court Thursday for a change of plea hearing where he said he was now pleading guilty after initially pleading not guilty to lying on federal gun applications.

According to TMZ, Kodak pled guilty to 2 counts of knowingly making a false written statement in connection with the acquisition of a firearm. He is facing a maximum of 10 years in prison and 3 years of supervised release. However, prosecutors are pushing for a lighter sentence due to Kodak cooperating.

Since his arrest in May, Kodak has been in federal detention. The judge denied his request to be released on bond, stating that he is a danger to the community. His sentencing is set for November 13.

As previously reported, Kodak was caught at the Rolling Loud festival due to warrants for his arrest after he’d been indicted on the false statement charges.

Its alleged that the rapper lied on firearm application, saying that he was not under any indictment for a crime that could land him behind bars for over a year.

Kodak is in the middle of a criminal case where he was indicted for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl in 2016 at a hotel in South Carolina. The feds are also linking Kodak to a shooting that occurred back I. March, in which the guns he allegedly bought through those applications were used. However, he’s not accused of pulling the trigger.

Keep it locked in right here for more updates on the case.
