World P – “I Vibe Different” (Album Review)

World P is a 36 year old emcee based in Detroit, Michigan affiliated with Port Huron heavyweight Substance810 & this actually happens to be his full-length debut.

The album kicks off with “Who Knew”, where World P opens about going from being locked up as a teenager to the man he is today over some grand piano melodies & finger-snapping. The next song “Dark Flower” shows off his storytelling skills over a cavernous beat while the track “Envy” talks about those who’re jealous of him over a Bay Area style instrumental.  The song “It’s My Party” is obviously a club banger with over a trap beat with some staccato keyboards & after the “Bobby Smith” interlude, the track “Ain’t About That” viciously calls out those who have no loyalty to him.

The song “Go Girl” is a decent strip club banger while the track “Sold My Heart” completely gets on the emo rap tip over a moody beat. The song “Dear Dad” is an emotional letter to P’s father over a grand beat & before the album finishes off with the “Flagg Bey” outro, the closer “Fuck It” is a response to a woman claiming that she’s leaving him over a luxurious instrumental.

If you’re curious about World P, then definitely give this album a listen because he does a good job at giving the listener a proper introduction as to who he is.
