Natalie Duncan shares “Found Myself (WheelUP Remix’)”
Nottingham-raised, London-based singer/songwriter/pianist Natalie Duncan is a woman of many talents who blends excellent piano prowess with brilliant songwriting and singing. Since her debut EP Natalie Alexis Duncan in 2009, she has gone on to work for the BBC programme “Goldie’s Band By Royal Appointment”, the three-part series that was the brainchild of drum and bass pioneer Goldie. She then released her first album Devil in Me under Decca Records and after her world tour with the band Muse, she returned with her sophomore album Free on Goldie’s Fallen Tree 1Hundred.
Now she is back in full force with a remix of her song “Found Myself”, revamped by Bruk pioneer DJ/producer WheelUp who crafts a smooth bouncy backdrop for Natalie to flow over with her unique and eclectic melodic runs. From the punchy drums, warm atmospheric textures and pulsating basslines, Natalie delivers the goods in copious amounts as she glides gently over the beat with an alluring melodic performance and even flips the script with a laidback rap verse showcasing her versatility in full form.
“Found Myself” is the follow-up to the hugely successful single “Hearts in a Cage”, achieving playlist status on Jazz Fm and receiving wide support across BBC 6Music and BBC Radio2.
