The Thought and Zensoul Share Visuals For ‘Sons of Jerusalem’
The Thought is back with it again and this time it is with the song; Sons of Jerusalem. This song is an attempt to bring a more holistic and open-armed understanding of who fits within, or hails from, the Twelve Tribes of Israel, as many of us here on this Earth are Sons of Jerusalem. Through the hook and verses, there is an attempt to promote an unlearning by The Thought of that which has been fed through false histories and campaigns of hate to find a common enemy in the Powers that Be and the Ruling Class, rather than in one another over any potentially contested claims to a sense of belonging to the aforementioned Twelve Tribes.
With production from the legendary Willie B and a feature from the conscious hip-hop duo Zensoul, there is a strong belief that this song has a lot of potential to help spread a more unifying message of common relation to one another by way of what is a recent and shared homeland for many of us. Amalia directs a beautiful desert-bound visual for the song to help highlight the aesthetic of Jerusalem, without any direct symbolism to shine preference toward any religious interpretation in particular.
