Joey Bada$$, Swizz Beatz, Papoose Join Busta Rhymes On Knicks Anthem Remix

Busta Rhymes brought the heat and the boroughs together with a star-stacked remix of his “New York Knicks Anthem” that dropped Thursday (May 29) just hours after the Knicks kept their playoff hopes alive with a commanding 111-94 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The remix, clocking in at just under five minutes, features Joey Bada$$, Papoose, NEMS, Swizz Beatz and DJ Scratch, uniting a lineup of New York Hip-Hop heavyweights to salute the city’s basketball pride and cultural grit.
“THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP!!!” Busta wrote teasing the track. “I TOLD AFTER THIS @nyknicks WIN WAS SECURED THAT I WOULD BE MAKING AN ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!! [BRAND] NEW BANGER ALERT!!!”
The original version of the anthem dropped after Game 2, but this updated version arrived with more urgency, mirroring the Knicks’ do-or-die mindset as they trailed 3-1 in the series.
The timing wasn’t lost on listeners, who called the track “a true love letter to the Knicks” and praised its ability to fuse the energy of Hip-Hop and hoops into one gritty rally cry.
The Knicks responded on the court, never trailing in Game 5 and scoring on their first five possessions.
The win forced a Game 6 in Indiana, where New York will try to even the series and keep their first NBA Finals run since 1999 within reach.
“New York Knicks Anthem (Remix)” dropped Thursday (May 29), the same night the Knicks extended their season.
