
Snoop Dogg, Shante Broadus Overcame Divorce & Loss To Reach 28 Years Of Marriage

The pair celebrated a bond that began in high school and endured decades of personal and public trials. The Hip-Hop icon tied the knot with Shante in 1997 at The Ritz-Carlton in Marina Del Rey after dating since their teenage years.
Their anniversary posts were filled with affection and a sense of nostalgia. Snoop shared a carousel of images on Instagram, including candid photos and recent moments.
Through nearly three decades of marriage, the Snoop Dogg and his wife have weathered significant family losses and personal struggles.
In 2002, Shante’s brother Jermaine Fuller died during a police standoff, a moment Snoop tried to intervene but couldn’t stop. Two years later, the couple hit a breaking point and filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
They reunited in 2008 during a private ceremony at singer Charlie Wilson’s ranch.
In October 2021, Snoop Dogg lost his mother, Beverly Tate, a moment that deeply affected the family. Then, in February 2024, his brother, Bing Worthington, passed away.
Most recently, their daughter Cori suffered a stroke while planning her wedding, adding another layer of emotional strain.
Still, the couple remains united and Snoop Dogg has since credited Shante with helping him stay grounded while playing a key role in his business empire, which spans music, fashion, film, cannabis and even pet supplies.
“Shante has been guiding my career behind the scenes from day one,” Snoop Dogg said in 2021. “She has always been my final gut check with all my decisions, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her.’
Snoop Dogg and Shante share three children and several grandchildren.
