The first track titled “The Ancients” is inspired by ancient civilizations and avatar the last Airbender. Breadcouch makes use of a moody and somewhat nostalgic backdrop for his offbeat cadence and off-kilter lyrical style. He uses vocal manipulations at some parts too and throws in a smooth melodic run in the middle. It sure gives listeners a lot to unpack and it’s dynamic as well.
The second track “Early 2000s” is a relaxing and soothing piece that sees Breadcouch collaborating with Big Byrd. The production here employs a melancholic synth and pads with soft drums. Breadcouch switches the flow here with a mix of rapid and melodic raps laden with cartoon references from the 2000s. The emcees reflect on the past and the dynamics of growing up into an adult. It’s relatable and heartfelt from start to finish.
