
Cassie to Testify at Diddy Trial to Testify Using Her Real Name

Diddy‘s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura will testify at his sex crimes trial under her own name.
Cassie to Take Stand in Diddy Trial
On April 4, federal prosecutors filed a preliminary statement for the upcoming trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The motion gives details about four witnesses who plan to take the stand during the trial. While three of the alleged victims will testify anonymously, Cassie will not.
“The Government currently expects that Victim-1, Victim-2, Victim-3, and Victim-4 will testify at trial,” the motion reads. “Victim-1 [redacted] she is prepared to testify under her own name. Vicitm-2, Victim-3 and Victim-4 have asked that their identities not be revealed to the press or the public.”
Cassie was identified as Victim-1 through court documents, which list her as the person Diddy assaulted at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. Video of the incident was released to the public last May.

Diddy Trial Looms
Following a third superseding indictment that was filed on April 3, Diddy is now facing one count of racketeering conspiracy and two counts each of sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Since his arrest last September, Diddy’s legal to has been calling into question the now infamous video of Diddy striking and kicking Cassie in a hotel hallway. They accused the feds of leaking the video and showing an altered version of the clip in order to get the judge to deny Diddy’s bond.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges again him. The Bad Boy Entertainment founder’s trial is expected to begin on May 12.
