Diddy Trial Continues With Photos of Cassie’s Injuries

The second week of the Diddy trial is underway and the prosecution is continuing to lay out its case against the embattled music mogul, including showing the jury photos of Cassie‘s injuries.

Jury Sees Cassie’s Injuries

On Monday (May 19), Diddy was back in court for day six of his sex trafficking trial. During the hearing, photos of the injuries Cassie allegedly suffered at the hands of Diddy during their 10-year relationship were shown, TMZ reports. The images can be seen below. One photo shows Diddy’s ex with a busted lip. In another picture, a large laceration can be seen over her eye. Another photo shows a fist-sized bruise on Cassie’s lower back.

Dawn Richard Testifies Against Diddy

Former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard, who sued Diddy last September for sexual assault, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, hostile work environment, forced labor and more, continued her testimony on Monday. She testified about seeing Diddy abuse Cassie, according to Inner City Press, one of the few news outlets covering the case live from the courtroom. Richard told the jury she witnessed Diddy hit Cassie on multiple occasions “when [Cassie] would speak up for herself.”

Richard testified that Diddy would hit Cassie in her “knees, face, all over” and that Diddy’s bodyguards D-Roc and Roger Bonds had also witnessed the treatment. The former Bad Boy singer also said she witnessed Diddy using drugs, including “weed, Ketamine, Molly [and] cocaine,” and in possession of firearms.

Cassie’s Former Friend Kerry Morgan Testifies

Also testifying on Monday was Cassie’s former friend Kerry Morgan. Morgan told the jury that she was friends with Cassie from 2001 to 2018, but stopped being friends with the former singer “because her boyfriend assaulted me,” pointing out Diddy as the culprit.

Diddy assaulted Cassie on multiple occasions, Morgan said. During one incident in Jamaica, Diddy attacked Cassie, causing her to flee into a wooded area. Another time, Diddy came looking for Cassie at Morgan’s apartment and beat on the door with a hammer. Police later arrived but Cassie refused to give them her information, Morgan testified.

Morgan later expounded on her incident with Diddy, claiming he hit her with a coat hanger and choked her after expressing concern about who Cassie was cheating on him with. Today’s hearing ended with the start of testimony from Diddy’s former personal assistant, David James.

Cassie took the stand during the trial last week. During her four days of testimony, she told the jury she suffered through years of abuse from Diddy and was forced to participate in “hundreds” of freak offs, alleged drug-fueled sex parties featuring escorts orchestrated by Diddy, through violence and blackmail.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. The trial is expected to last eight to 10 weeks.
