Kendrick Lamar Eggs on Drake Beef With Mock Lawsuit Deposition

Kendrick Lamar eggs on his beef with Drake by showing a mock lawsuit deposition and performing Drizzy diss songs on the first night of the Grand National Tour.

Kendrick Lamar Clowns Drake on Tour

Kendrick Lamar and SZA kicked off their stadium tour on April 19 in Minneapolis, Minn., performing for a sold-out crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium. In addition to performing the Drizzy diss song “Euphoria” and the track “Like That,” which was the catalyst for the epic beef, K-Dot clowned Drake’s UMG lawsuit by showing the crowd a video of a mock deposition during a break in the action.

In the clip, Kendrick is sitting behind a table while being peppered with questions. He is first asked to refrain from using his phone, which may be a callback to Ye’s wild lawsuit deposition in 2021.

“You said you wanted the party to die. Was that a metaphor or were you being serious?” the faux lawyer asks.

“I say it’s a good song,” the Compton, Calif. rapper responds. The attorney asks the same question again. Dot responds, “However you want to take it.”

The attorney then asks Kendrick where he was on Feb. 9, 2025, Super Bowl Sunday, to which Kendrick responds, “I don’t keep up with dates.”

“Does this ring a bell?” the attorney questions. “‘Drop. Drop. Drop. Drop. Drop. Drop.”

Kendrick then immediately rolls into his performance of “Not Like Us.”

Kendrick Lamar Tours Amid Lawsuit Scandal

Kendrick Lamar and SZA are just getting started. The tour has 38 dates left, including stops in Houston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and more, before closing out on Aug. 9 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Meanwhile, Drake is still going after Universal Music Group for defamation over “Not Like Us.” After filing a federal lawsuit in January, Drake was recently granted discovery by the judge in the case, which will allow him to see UMG contracts, including Kendrick’s UMG agreement.
