Ollie shares new single “Storm” [Video]

Alternative singer/rapper/songwriter Ollie shares visuals for his song “Storm”, a heartfelt record that dwells on true emotions of hurt, pain, and the journey of finding oneself in the midst of darkness. Just as the title says, it has a somber and somewhat depressing vibe made up of sad guitar licks and warm tetxures that blend with his laidback melodic runs and hushed rap verses.

The visual directed by Brendan Barnard follows the theme of the song and takes place in the aftermath of a storm where the skies are grey and everything is moody. We see Ollie as he takes a walk through empty streets looking for some sort of solace but the screen fades to black leaving us wondering if he ever found closure.

“Storm” is taken from his new album Even When I’m Happy I Listen To Sad Music. A prooject which he says is filled with pure emotions from the low points of life.

Ollie, or “Ollie Raps”, as some still refer to him, has quietly been making a name for himself worldwide, amassing more than 300+ miilion streams over the last 6 years. Hailing from a small town just south of Toronto, Ollie is “the guy next door”, albeit one who has patiently built a loyal and quickly expanding audience thanks to his relatable brand of music. Regularly touching on subjects such as failure, heartbreak and mental health, Ollie speaks directly to the Millennial and Gen Z members who are facing the very same issues.
