RAPTUM shares visuals for new single “Eject That: Empty Shells (The Fugazi)” [Video]
UK emcee RAPTUM displays his lyrical prowess on his new single “Eject That: Empty Shells (The Fugazi)” which comes with a solid visual representation. Bolstered by the spacey and somewhat reflective backdrop provided by Epik The Dawn, RAPTUM pours out his distaste for unoriginality and reminds listeners that being true to oneself would go a long way. As usual, his flow is sharp as ever and the fusion of wit wordplay and insightful lyrics makes it even more engaging as the Leyton-based rapper holds nothing back on this record.
The E.Greaves directed visuals follow RAPTUM’s creative process in the studio from a wide degree of perspectives as he walks us through the method to his madness. The use of motifs, engaging performance shots with subtle visual effects helps complete the job and lends its strengths to the topic of originality.
RAPTUM says of the process “I was deeply focused and fired up when writing this, I had the beat playing for like five hours straight, my mind was racing with concepts surrounding my distaste for inauthenticity. Hence, the three titles of which (The Fugazi) was the first”
