Tory Lanez Roasts Lawyer in Megan Thee Stallion Lawsuit

Tory Lanez‘s deposition for Megan Thee Stallion‘s defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz was so unproductive that a judge has ordered Tory to explain why he shouldn’t be held in contempt of court.
Attorneys Say Tory Lanez Trolled Throughout Deposition
On Wednesday (April 16), Megan’s legal team filed a motion in court claiming Lanez’s April 9 deposition from a California prison was so bad it could not be completed. Megan’s attorneys point out multiple instances where they believe Tory tried to undermine the court order by pretending “that the video equipment was not working despite prison staff confirming it was functioning properly” and “faking ignorance regarding the definition of basic words.”
At one point, Megan’s attorney asked Tory if he’d reviewed any documents to prepare for deposition. He responded: “Did you review the documents on the color of the dye you were going to use for your hair?”
At other points during the interview, Lanez answered questions by asking the same question he’d been asked.
“Mr. Peterson made a mockery of the proceedings,” Megan’s attorneys write. “Nothing short of a contempt finding and meaningful sanctions will deter Mr. Peterson from continuing to abuse the process.”
On Thursday (April 17), Judge Cecilia Atlonaga ordered Tory to show cause why he should not be held in contempt of court for violating the Court’s order authorizing his deposition.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawsuit
Megan Thee Stallion sues blogger Milagro Gramz in October of 2024 for allegedly purposely spreading false information online about Megan on behalf of Tory Lanez. The federal lawsuit also includes claims that Milagro promoted an “altered sexual depiction” of Megan. Megan has since accused Tory and his father of helping orchestrate the harassment. In January, she got a five-year restraining order against the incarcerated rapper.
Tory is serving a 10-year prison sentence after being found guilty of shooting of Megan in December of 2022.
