Joel Embiid Called Out For Dirty Flagrant Foul In Game 3 Against The Knicks

Knicks Sixers has been a very intense playoff series. The first two games were physical battles that saw the Knicks come out on top. Joel Embiid and the Sixers were furious over how game two was officiated. The referees missed obvious calls in the final two minutes, which the Sixers believe cost them the game. One official grievance later, Game 3 headed to Philidelphia. The 76ers clearly looked frustrated throughout the series, and last night, Joel Embiid let his frustrations get the better of him.

Embiid, the most vocal 76er after the controversial end to game 2, has clearly been rattled by the physicality of the series. This frustration, coupled with his ongoing recovery from a long-term injury, led to a shocking incident in Game 3. After once again not receiving a foul call, Embiid fell to the floor. In a moment of sheer aggression, he grabbed Knicks center Mitchell Robinson by the legs and violently pulled the 7-footer down. This was not just a foul; and it was a dangerous and malicious act that could have resulted in serious injury to Robinson.

Should Embiid Have Been Ejected After Dirty Foul?

Joel Embiid’s foul on Mitchel Robinson was not just a foul. The outburst was a dirty play that posed a serious risk. After the incident, the two teams had to be separated, and the referees had to review the play. To the surprise of many, the officials deemed it a flagrant 1 violation. However, the NBA chose not to eject a star player like Embiid despite the clear violation. This decision raises the question: should Embiid have been ejected for his actions? Many fans and pundits believe he should have been.

The MVP stayed in the game despite the dirty play and gave his best performance in his playoff career. The center is still injured and reportedly suffering from Bells Palsey, and he put up 50 points against the Knicks. Maybe Embiid has to play on that edge to erase some of his playoff failures. He is having his best series ever despite not being close to 100% healthy. Overall, Sixers Kinicks has been a rollercoaster ride, and we need it to go 7-games.

LeBron James Livid With Officiating Following Game 2 Loss

LeBron James is not happy after losing game 2 of their first-round matchup to the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers lost 101-99 on Monday night due to an incredible Jamal Murray game-winner. The Lakers gave up a 20-point lead in the second half and lost a must-win game against the defending champions. It was a big opportunity for the Lakers to show they can hang with the Nuggets, but alas, the champs extended their ridiculous winning streak against the Lakers. LeBron had a great game. He made play after play on both ends. Ultimately, the effort was in vain.

The Lakers have lost 10 straight games to the Nuggets, and the latest loss probably hurt the worst. To have the game in control and to give up that control is a blow for any team. Additionally, the Lakers still had chances to win the game despite blowing their 20-point lead. LwBron’s late 3-point miss led directly to Jamal Murray’s game-winning shot. In his postgame press conference, LeBron expressed his frustrations with the officiating and missed calls.

LeBron Frustrated By Officials After Loss To Nuggets

LeBron brought up some questionable decision-making from the referees. The play LeBron is stuck on happened late in the third quarter. Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell drove to the basket and was clearly hit in the face by Denvers Michael Porter Jr. A foul was called, but Denver decided to challenge the call and miraculously won the challenge. It was during an important part of the game when Denver cut the Laker’s lead to 10 points. It was a bad call on the ref’s part, and LeBron has a right to be upset at the reveal. Nevertheless, The Lakers had their opportunities down the stretch, and the game just didn’t go their way.

The Lakers are not in a good position. The Denver Nuggets just seem to have their number. Even when the Lakers stars have incredible games, it just doesn’t seem to matter. Nikola Jokic is an increasingly frustrating force the Lakers have to deal with. he controls the game even when he isn’t scoring. Denver’s role players stepped up big time. Additionally, after a woeful shooting performance for most of the game, Jamal Murray dropped 14 points in the fourth to go along with his game-winner. The Lakers are in a must-win situation and look to make it a series in LA.

Fat Joe Responds After Kevin Durant Accuses Him Of Cappin’ About Rucker Park Game

Remember that time Fat Joe confessed to lying in 90 percent of his raps? Well if you didn’t, Kevin Durant is here with a reminder based on his response to Joey Crack in an unrelated matter.

During A recent appearance on New York Knick’s player’s Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart’s podcast, Fat Joe recounted his experience spectating KD’s infamous game at Rucker park during the NBA lockout season of 2011.

[embedded content]

And though his testimony was derived directly from memory, it appears he may have embellished the facts, slighty.

“You know, Kevin Durant was, he scored like 82 points in the third quarter,” Fat Joe started off. “Like, he don’t like me telling this story, they chased him out the Rucker, like they wanted to beat him up.”

He continued, comparing the NBA champion to Iowa University Women’s basketball player Caitlin Clark, in the process.

“He whipped they a## so bad that they wanted to literally beat him up out there. And he was doing like, almost the Caitlin Clark show,” he said. “He was checking it out, woosh, do a three. I mean from the other side of the court, I’m not talking about half-court. No, I was there at the game. I’m not talking about half-court. He was, they checked it out, pass it to him and five guys would go like this [Fat Joe pretends to play defense] and he was hitting them, water. He scored like 80 points I was like, ‘Oh wow.’ I was out there, they chased him into the truck he had to go.”

And even though it was somewhat apparent that Fat Joe was adding a little extra sauce on the story itself, KD wasn’t feeling it at all and addressed the claims in a quoted reply of the video in which he seemingly took the tough guy approach.

“Another podcast lie. It was nothing but respect and love out there that night, didn’t feel unsafe for one second,” KD wrote in his response on Twitter.

Fat Joe has since responded, addressing both Durant’s pushback of his retelling of the story, in addition to acknowledging his affinity for larger than life embellishments when offering oral history.

“I was there he knows I’m not lying 62 points in 3 quarters why was the game stopped it’s all love all i did was big him up ‘GREATEST STORY TELLER IN THE GAME’,” he wrote in a tweet.

Boosie Badazz’s Giant Jesus Piece Upsets Woman At Hawks Game

Boosie Badazz showed off his new rose gold diamond encrusted Jesus piece at a recent Atlanta Hawks game but not everybody was a fan of the gigantic piece.

The “Wipe Me Down” hitmaker, who’s given himself the moniker “Mr. Courtside” for his recent antics at the games, took to Instagram Wednesday (April 10), to recount a run-in with a fan.

“Lady at the game asked me why did I do that to Jesus. I told her, ‘I’m showing everybody to give him the glory,’” he said, flexing the bedazzled pendant, part of a recent $2 million jewelry haul, in the camera.

Ja Morant Did Act In Self-Defense During Pickup Game Gone Wrong, Says Judge Chumney

Over the last year and change, Ja Morant’s NBA career has taken a turn for the worse. Of course, those issues have not just been on the court. Most know the Memphis Grizzlies star was suspended for 25 games after instances of waving guns on social media. However, he has also been dealing with lawsuit sent in by 17-year-old Joshua Holloway for assault, after a pickup game turned into a brawl. In late December 2023, Judge Carol Chumney said that a decision would not be made until 2024.

But according to Bleacher Report, we now have a massive update on it. Judge Chumney has come to the conclusion that Ja Morant did act in self-defense after Holloway threw the ball at him. The Tennessee judge said that Ja “enjoys a presumption of civil immunity” under the state’s self-defense immunity statute. Furthermore, the burden of proof now falls into the hands of Holloway’s legal team to try and change the ruling.

Ja Morant’s Name Is Partially Cleared After This Judge Ruling

While he is not totally in the clear, he has to be feeling better. Ja was adamant that he only threw the punch first “to protect [himself]” after Holloway got in his face. Hopefully, all of these situations have helped Ja recover mentally so he can stay focused on hooping. Finally, there will be a trial later on instead of later this month.

What are your thoughts on the judge saying Ja Morant was using self-defense in the altercation with the teenager? Do you think he will wind up not being charged with any crimes, why or why not? Does this change your opinion on the Memphis Grizzlies star? Will he still have a successful NBA career? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Ja Morant and this court case. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on around the world of sports.

Kim Kardashian Takes Saint West To A Chaotic Lakers Game

Kim Kardashian was once again playing the role of sports mom as she and her son Saint West were spotted courtside for the Lakers’ matchup against the Warriors this week. Kim sported a tight-fitting white tee and black leather pants while Saint wore an oversized LeBron jersey. Other big-name fans taking in the game were Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez as well as the Kardashian-affiliated Bad Bunny.

However, the game itself was chaotic. The final two minutes of play took over 20 minutes to complete due to a myriad of issues. Darvin Ham challenged an out-of-bounds call that won the Lakers the ball but cost the team points due to a prior LeBron three being ruled out on review. The game was delayed by yet more reviews before the shot clock decided to simply stop working. Despite 40 points from LeBron, the Lakers fell 128-121. During the turmoil, Kim and Saint posed for several pictures for courtside photographers. Kim also spoke with fans while Saint flashed a peace sign at the cameras.

Kim Kardashian Shows Off Saint West Basketball Highlight Reel

Elsewhere, Kim was a proud mom last month, posting a makeshift highlight reel of Saint playing basketball. The 8-year-old showed off some impressive skills when it came to playing in transition and pull-up shooting. In the comments online, people half-jokingly compared Saint to Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant.

Of course, Saint isn’t the only hooper in the family. A recent TikTok by North West showing off some impressive dribbling ability has been met with a wave of hilarious reactions from fans. While many people were impressed by West’s ball handling, more than a few commenters couldn’t help but crack some jokes. “CP3 a good trainer yea,” one fan wrote. The short comment refers to claims that Kanye West made in 2022 that Kardashian had cheated on him with Chris Paul. No proof that the rumor was true ever emerged, but it is one that has stuck with fans.
