Snoop Dogg Unfazed by Drake Mimicking His Voice on Diss Track

It appears Snoop Dogg is unfazed by Drake using Artificial Intelligence to mimic his voice on his new Kendrick Lamar diss track, “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

Snoop Dogg Unbothered By Drake’s A.I. Voice Imitation on His Diss Track

Following the release of Drake’s diss track “Taylor Made Freestyle,” targeting K-Dot, fans were shocked that Drizzy used A.I. to mimic the voices of West Coast rap icons Tupac Shakur and Snoop in the song. Surprisingly, the Doggfather appeared unfazed by Drake imitating his voice on the track.

On Friday (April 19), Snoop posted a video on his Instagram page reacting to the hoopla over his fake voice appearing on Drake’s song.

“They did what? When? How? Are you sure? [Sigh] Y’all have a good night,” the rap veteran said in the IG clip, which can be viewed below. “Why everybody calling my phone, blowing me up? What the f**k— what happened? What’s going on? I’m going back to bed. Good night.”

It’s not clear if Snoop Dogg was tip off that his A.I. voice was going to be used on Drake’s diss track.

Drake Posts Follow-Up K-Dot Diss Track “Taylor Made Freestyle”

On Friday (April 19), Drake surprised fans by posting on his IG account another diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar called “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

On the song, which can be heard below, the 6 God shames the Compton rhymer for taking a week to response to his previous diss track “Push Ups.” Drake also used A.I. to replicate the voices of both Tupac and Snoop, seemingly in an attempt to provoke Kendrick to respond.

Snoop Dogg Seems To React To Drake Using His AI Voice On Kendrick Lamar Diss

Drake went “Back To Back” on the rap game again, dropping yet another diss towards Kendrick Lamar on social media last night (Friday, April 19). Of course, probably the most notable aspect of this song is the fact that he used A.I. technology to replicate Tupac and Snoop Dogg‘s voices in order to rap from their perspectives and goad K.Dot into responding ASAP. A lot of folks are debating the points that Drizzy made here, the use of this tech, when we’ll get a response (if at all), and other factors. However, one question had fans particularly interested, predicting whether it would be a positive or negative moment for the Toronto superstar: what does Tha Doggfather think of this?

Well, even though Snoop Dogg published a video in the wee hours of Saturday, April 20 (and thus, ironically enough, seemingly reacted to a lot of smoke on 4/20), it didn’t really get us any closer to knowing what he thinks of it. “They did what?” he said in the clip below with a skeptical face. “When? How? Are you sure?” Then, the West Coast legend sighed and pointed to the “Death Row” stitching on his jacket. “Y’all have a good night. And to all… *laughs* Everybody calling my phone blowing me up. What the f**k, what happened? What’s going on? I’m going back to bed, good night.”

Snoop Dogg Seemingly Addresses Drake’s Newest Kendrick Lamar Diss: Watch

As such, this doesn’t really clarify whether Snoop Dogg knew of “Taylor Made Freestyle” before its IG release, whether he co-signed the track, or whether he’s supporting his fellow L.A. native in Kendrick Lamar. There are a few conflicting elements: shouting out Death Row (a sign of respect to himself and ‘Pac), laughing (seemingly enjoying the ruckus it’s caused), not really wanting to engage just yet (which could mean anything), and Aubrey Graham himself liking the post (a salute or a jab?). We also know that the Long Beach MC is good friends with Drake and that he’s on the fence about A.I. technology, sometimes co-signing it and sometimes being more critical, particularly about Tupac A.I. But he likely also has some deep appreciation for the Compton creative, so the disrespectful nature of this usage might not just be a point on the rap beef board for him.

Meanwhile, with the former TDE MC rumored to respond to this along with an album release in May, it seems like both artists are trying to set up goalposts that the other can’t even play in. Drake Uses A.I. Tupac & Snoop Dogg Verses To Diss Kendrick Lamar On “Taylor Made Freestyle”

After officially adding “Push Ups” to DSPs on Friday (April 19), Drake fired off another diss record at Kendrick Lamar on Saturday morning. “Taylor Made Freestyle” arrived with some unexpected special guest vocals.

Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” features artificial intelligence-generated voices of West Coast legends Snoop Dogg and the late 2Pac. Compton-bred MC Kendrick Lamar, aka K. Dot, has cited Pac as one of his biggest musical influences.

“They told me the spirit of Makaveli is alive in the n#### under five-foot-five, so it’s gotta be you. I would beef the whole f###### game. It was me and Snoop Dogg, have my f###### shirt off in the House of Blues,” the fake 2Pac raps on “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

Artificial intelligence has become an unforeseen central part of the ongoing battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. TikTok personality Sy The Rapper released an A.I. version of a Kendrick Lamar diss track that fooled a lot of people on the internet.

So So Def label founder Jermaine Dupri expressed his issues with content creators/producers like Sy The Rapper using computer programs to make songs. Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” sparked mixed reactions on X.

For example, media figure Aaron Busby tweeted, “The s### Aubrey pulled is some s### I would have expected 6ix9ine to do.” Apple Music’s Karlie Hustle posted, “Dot has Drake using A.I. Death Row and Cole yanking music off streaming platforms. I think it’s clear who our King is.”

In contrast, Mimi The Music Blogger backed up Drake’s move by tweeting, “If Tupac had access to A.I. back in the day whilst beefing [with] Bad Boy, let me tell [you], he would use it.” The Joe Budden Podcast affiliate Emanny commented, “Drake playing the new age games while still showing he’s down to compete… gotta respect it!”

Drake Uses A.I. Tupac and Snoop Dogg Song to Press Kendrick Lamar

Drake uses A.I.-generated voices of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg to press Kendrick Lamar on his new song “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

Drake Calls Out Kendrick Lamar in New Song Using A.I. Voices of Tupac Shakur and Kendrick Lamar

On Friday (April 20), Drake hit up Instagram to drop a new track aimed at Kendrick Lamar titled “Taylor Made Freestyle.” In a move that takes hip-hop into uncharted territories, the Toronto megastar tapped into A.I. technology to fuel his ongoing battle with K-Dot by featuring computer-generated verses from Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur on the song.

The song opens with a deep fake version of Tupac pleading with Kendrick Lamar to respond to Drake’s recently released diss track “Push Ups” for the sake of West Coast hip-hop.

“Kendrick, we need ya, the West Coast savior,” Tupac’s likeness can be heard in the opening lines of the new Drake song below. “Engraving your name in some hip-hop history if you deal with this viciously/You seem a little nervous about all the publicity/F**k this Canadian light skin, Dot.”

Subsequently, Snoop Dogg’s voice can be heard sharing similar sentiments through lyrics presumed to have been created using artificial intelligence.

A.I. Snoop raps: “Nephew, what the f**k you really ’bout to do?/We passed you the torch at the House of Blues and now you gotta do some dirty work/You know how to move, right?”

Both have defined the West Coast and Southern hip-hop sounds for decades, delivering classics on classics. Even better, these two are still consistently pumping out new material as well. He has also been active with the singles and features, with his assist on Benny The Butcher‘s Everybody Can’t Go a standout.

For Mr. Premier he has put out some records with “Work This Out” being his most recent. That is, until DJ Premier and Snoop Dogg linked for “Can U Dig That?” This is not the first time these two greats have hit the booth together though. Funny enough, their most recent collaboration was actually on a Russ track “Free” which landed on CHOMP 2.”

Snoop Dogg Namechecks Ice-T, 2Pac, Ice Cube & More On New DJ Premier Collab

Snoop Dogg and DJ Premier have convened for a new single called “Can You Dig That?” The track arrived Friday (March 29) just hours after the duo teased the single on social media. Backed by Preemo’s signature jazz-infused production, Snoop easily glides over the beat as he reflects on his life on the West Coast.

“The lights, the glimmer,” he raps in the first verse. “Shooting stars and beautiful women (Wow)/Dice games and dominoes/Presidential Obama flows (Flows)/Rivers drip with tadpoles (What?)/Night clubs with bad hoes (Ooh)/Neighborhoods with liquor stores/And foes and baggy clothes/I gotta get this dope sold (Yeah, what?)/Bang, bang the lifestyle (Bang)/Too bright, we might turn your lights down.”

From there, Snoop goes on to list some of the Hip-Hop luminaries who’ve defined West Coast rap, including Ice Cube, Eazy-E, E-40, Ice-T, 2Pac and DJ Quik.

Speaking to AllHipHop, DJ Premier said, “Every record that Snoop and I have been a part of together never misses. He always delivers what I expect.”

Snoop Dogg and DJ Premier have worked together numerous times, dating back to the early 2000s. In 2003, Snoop appeared on Gang Starr’s sixth studio album, The Ownerz, and Premier later produced two songs on Snoop’s 2002 effort, Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Boss album. Preemo also contributed to “Unfucwitable” featuring The Lady Of Rage from Snoop’s Doggy Style Allstars Vol. 1. More recently, Premier and Snoop helped craft Russ’s new single, “Free” with Big K.R.I.T.

“Can U Dig That?” marks their first collaboration under DJ Premier and Ian Schwartzman’s independent imprint, TTT (To The Top). “Can U Dig That?” Premier adds, “My manager and I launched our label TTT (To The Top), and we decided to call Snoop as one of my first album collaborations. Snoop recorded a demo of the song, and it went into my vaults unfinished. Fast forward, our initial plan for an album changed, and we decided to just release singles. Snoop updated his lyrics and now it’s ready for our audience to ride out to.”

Dr. Dre Says Snoop Dogg Forgot He Recorded This Classic From “The Chronic” In Jail

Dr. Dre had to remind Snoop Dogg of the humble and not-so-ideal origins of arguably their biggest collaborative hit—while they were on late-night TV.

During their recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Dr. Dre was joined by 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre took a walk down memory lane and ended up talking about The Chronic in the midst of their stroll. While remarking on their creative process, Dr. Dre actually had to break down how he recorded their seminal hit, “Nuthin But A ‘G’ Thang,” because Snoop forgot entirely.

The tender exchange was kicked off after Kimmel asked, “So you recorded the demo over the phone from jail,” to which Snoop affirmatively replied “No, no, no, no, no!”

At this point, Dre interjected, “Snoop doesn’t remember that, but that happened.”

”What I do,” Snoop replied seemingly confused before Dre followed up with, “I remember you being in jail, you know I’ve told you this story before. Of course he doesn’t remember.”

Though Snoop Dogg says he does remember calling Dre from jail during that time period, he wasn’t able to fill in the details, but luckily his multi-platinum producer partner-in-crime handled that for him.

”I taped the f###ing headphone to the mic,” Dre said, which prompted Snoop’s reply, “Did I spit it? DAMN!” Check out the full interview below and watch the clip above.

50 Cent, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg Play Doctors in Funny Skit

Fresh off celebrating his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Dr. Dre hit up Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Eminem, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg to create a hilarious skit based off the classic medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.

Jimmy Kimmel Has No Private Parts

In the spoof, which debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night (March 19), Dr. Dre stars as his namesake by playing a doctor in the ER while late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel plays a patient. The moment is a bit of a nod to 50 Cent’s own 2003 “In Da Club” video, in which Dre and Eminem play doctors who create the ultimate rapper in the G-Unit leader.

Kimmel shocks Dr. Dre when he realizes the man does not have any private parts.

“What the f**k is this?” Dre asks. “This man has no penis.”

“What?” Jimmy asks, looking befuddled. “I have a penis.”

“Not according to what I’m looking at,” Dre concludes.

From there, Dre calls Dr. Broadus, a.k.a. Snoop Dogg, to take a closer look with a magnifying glass. Then Dr. Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, arrives with a telescope to make the ultimate inspection. “Sorry,” Fif tells Jimmy while patting him on the shoulder. 50 informs both Dre and Snoop: “You guys gotta see this.”

Dre begins poking and prodding Jimmy with a medical instrument, only to pull out what looks like a “piece of bubble gum,” according to Snoop. Jimmy insists he came in to get a colonoscopy and this is not what he signed up for. Things get worse but hilariously hip-hop when the host flatlines, yet Dr. Dre uses Kimmel’s heartbeat to make a beat.

Eminem and 50 Cent Share a Funny Moment

Before the skit comes to an end, Eminem makes an appearance holding a syringe full of green goo. “You only get one shot,” he says while looking directly at the camera.

“One shot, I been shot nine times,” 50 Cent tells Em, referring to the wild story when he got shot as many times in 2000, and survived the incident.

“That’s a weird flex, but OK,” Em responds.

Watch Snoop Dogg’s Epic Dr. Dre Tribute: “I Wanna Thank Me”

Snoop Dogg comically remixed his iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame moment to pay tribute to Dr. Dre as the Hip-Hop mogul received his own coveted star.

On Tuesday (March 19), the Death Row honcho took to the podium to honor Dre and his legacy.

“I wanna thank me,” he began as the audience laughed. “For taking the call from Warren and Dr. Dre in ’91, even though I hung up on Warren a few times ’cause I thought the n#### was lying.”

After joking about being thankful for writing himself into “Deep Cover,” Snoop gave Dre his flowers.

“I wanna thank me for listening to Dre over the years and letting him be my teacher, mentor, brother, guardian, protector, and most importantly a good friend.”

Snoop then playfully gave himself props for “showing up on time at the Super Bowl,” before honoring Dr. Dre with a freestyle tribute.

“Dr. Dre, my brother from another mother, a rock in the sands on the beach he’d soon discover/Now we deep cover, blood brothers on a mission, Dre’s edition,” Snoop rapped. “House with no furniture, studio in the back with a little bit of food in the kitchen/Long Beach to Compton to Calabasas, compositions; pay attention/Quincy had Michael, they rewrote the cycle/So if Dre is Q and Mike is Snoop, we bang G thang, muthafuckin supergroup.”
