SchoolBoy Q Regrets Not Having Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” Beat

ScHoolboy Q dropped his latest studio LP, Blue Lips, on Friday (March 1). While promoting his new project, the Top Dawg Entertainment recording artist reflected on songs he could have recorded.

Back On Figg spoke with ScHoolboy Q for an interview. The conversation included the “Blueslides” rapper talking about losing Cardo-produced tracks in the past.

“Every Cardo beat you done heard, I had it,” ScHoolboy stated. When asked which potential song he regretted not releasing, the Grammy-nominated MC answered, “‘Goosebumps.”

Travis Scott presented “Goosebumps” featuring fellow TDE act Kendrick Lamar on his chart-topping 2016 album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. The single went on to earn 8x-platinum certification from the RIAA.

“Every time me and Travis see each other, we always laugh about it,” ScHoolboy Q said. He also added, “I blew it! The beat was just called ‘Goosebumps’ and he somehow flipped that… That’s one of my regrets.”

The Los Angeles-raised rap star also spoke about regretting not recording a collaboration with the late Nipsey Hussle before his passing. A gunman killed Hussle (born Ermias Asghedom) in March 2019.

ScHoolboy Q’s Blue Lips album features Rico Nasty, Lance Skiiiwalker, Freddie Gibbs, Ab-Soul, Jozzy and more. HitsDailyDouble projects Blue Lips to debut with 30,000-35,000 first-week units.
