“Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles” is a straight-up gully from the start with its dark dusty piano riffs, moody basslines, and punchy drum grooves. The New Orleans native is in his element and delivers his signature bravado-laced wordplay and carefree flow seamlessly over the blunted production.
