theDeeepEnd‘s “Fortunate” is about self-liberation in many ways as he adds that he wrote it during some dark times in his life and putting the lyrics on wax felt like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders. Over a somber and somewhat melancholic backdrop, the rapper takes us deep into his life as he fights his own inner demons while being bogged down by daily travails.
