THOPFest Brought Out JAMLA Guests for their Pop-Up Shop

If you were in Ontario last Saturday, then you’d heard about the pop-up shops that 60 East have been throwing for the past few months in preparation for the upcoming THOPFest event in October.

This time around they’ve brought in to JAMLA guests, with one of them being the newest member of the Soul Council. The Oakland native Sndtrak was inducted into 9th Wonder‘s JAMLA family back in June, not too long after he released his debut project, And Then There Was Light. The album was released under House Shoes‘ Street Corner Music record label.

Besides Sndtrak being one of the main guests on the lineup, you also had the Grammy nominated engineer/super producer Khrysis rocking out on the turntables, playing some of his memorable hits he produced for a number of artists. Just seeing him rock a crowd at the Firewater became one of the more engaging acts to see in person.

In addition to those two, you also seen the return of Zensoul, the afro-indigenous hiphop duo who’s been a familiar name to the THOPFest lineup before. They’ve performed a number of joints from their latest album Blending In, as well as performed their latest single called ‘Waves‘.

The next one up is the woman from Southeast LA by the name of Silvandgold, who released a new single, called ‘Warn Ya’. She’s accompanied by longtime LA emcee Destruct, who is also a THOPFest regular – and is also on the THOPFest lineup for October. Silvangold & Destruct have a number of collaborative singles together.
