McDead – “Luna Land

 

 

McDead’s “Luna Land” is an experimental tune pre with punchy breakbeats, ominous textures, and moody strings. The production is quite dynamic and there are a lot of ebb and flow as it progresses.

 

 

 

 

 

CaliCronk – “Twilight”

 

CaliCronk shares the new track “Twilight”, a guitar-driven track that is nostalgic and soothing. It has a tinge of pop and soul to it as well

 

 

 

 

 

Meikhel Philogene – “Me”

Emerging producer Meikhel Philogene shares his new single “Me” with us. The laidback piece takes electronic elements with a bit of soul and hip-hop. The synths are bright and alluring and his use of rap vocals and airy horns are quite effective. I like the sparse arrangement and overall nostalgic aesthetic.

Meikhel Philogene recently dropped his debut EP, Who Is M.E.I. The music executive and artist manager, has now added musician and producer to his resume. The three-track EP features various sounds in an attempt to let the listeners get to know Meikhel.

 

 

 

 

dFonK x Craig G – “Healing Properties (Instrumental)”

dFonK‘s Craig G assisted record is now out as a “Healing Properties (Instrumental)”. The cinematic piece is punchy and has a cinematically moody vibe that sure fits the veteran’s rap style and perfect for any rapper to tell vivid stories over.

 

Wizard Death – “sap”

LA-based producer Wizard Death makes his entry on our site with his new release titled “sap”. A synth-driven record that is as vibrant as they come with its lush atmospheric textures and airy guitar plucks. The drums are punchy too and add a solid groove to the overall mix. The producer started making beats in Washington, D.C. in late 2018 and has since released 3 full-length beat tapes, a slew of singles and EPs, and is preparing to releaser a fourth full-length project.

 

 

 

Uggish – “Good Gorgeous”

 

Uggish‘s “Good Gorgeous” is a moody instrumental made up of chopped vocal samples, airy ominous strings, and solemn textures layered over soft and sparsely arranged drums. He even throws in some pitched down rap vocals into the mix and raises the ante with a multi-layered Gospel chorus. This song is part of his 8-track Instrumental project that took 5 years to make.

Apollo Brown – “It Just Is”

Revered  Detroit beatmaker Apollo Brown is preparing to drop a new album but in the meantime, he shares the lead single “It Just Is“. The record is a soulful piece made up of sparkling textures, airy vocals, and anthemic horns layered over crunchy boom-bap drums. The record is taken from the forthcoming album This Must Be the Place” due out July 8th on Mello Music Group. Pre-order it here

$tonehardt delivers a somber and soulful piece titled “New Sadness” on our list. from the bouncy drums, smooth textures, and pulsating basslines, the track sure packs a punch with its evocative sound.

Nu Vintage – “Matcha Latte”

Nu Vintage‘s “Matcha Latte” is a smooth jazz-infused boom-bap jam that is nostalgic and soothing. From the sublime horns, crispy solemn keys to the punchy drums and vocal scratching, the record really captures that good old era of jazz-rap

 

 

pantology – “Circadian”

 

pantology‘s new single “Circadian” is a funky tune that takes quite a number of elements. From smooth progressive bass lines, lush Rhodes arrangement over bouncy drum grooves with subtle vocal textures to boot. The result is a dynamic, lively, and upbeat jam listeners can rock with.

Lonz Cityy – “Midtown (Penn Station)”

Lonz Cityy makes his entrance in our playlist with “Midtown (Penn Station)”. a punchy and sublime piece ripe with soft and bright synths, punchy basslines, and drum breaks that hit the mark.

Catch92 – “Wander (Remix by Fthmlss)”

 

Manchester-based producer / visual artist Catch92‘s “Wander gets a Remix by Fthmlss. The result is a mellow reflective piece ripe with lofi elements and soulful textures.

Kyle Quentin & The Kyles – “Call Me Midnight”

Kyle Quentin & The Kyles got a new one for us this week titled “Call Me Midnight” a mellow, somber tune made up of punchy boom-bap drums, dusty piano riffs, and airy textures.

Jazzy Geezer – “Watergate”

 

UK producer Jazzy Geezer drops a new single “Watergate” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the infamous Watergate scandal.
Jazzy Geezer captures the emotions that may have been felt by President Richard Nixon during the time before his resignation with a somber and somewhat urgent backdrop made up of moody strings and synths over punchy drums.

Joe Sunrise x Floating Anarchy – “Parallels”

 

Joe Sunrise and Floating Anarchy share “Parallels” a sublime guitar-laden piece that is soulful, reflective, and nostalgic. The sparse arrangement, airy horns, and low tones really strike the soul.
