How Did Police Foil the Attack?
Court paperwork obtained by Fox 7 says local authorities uncovered the plot after they arrested Jones for being in possession of a handgun on March 10. Jones then allegedly told police two other people were going to attempt to murder a rapper that night, who was not named in the paperwork but who allegedly was set to testify in a separate court case. Jones said he was being paid $450 to meet up with Bennett and another unnamed associate at a venue on East Sixth Street to deliver the handgun.
Jones additionally said the two individuals were coming from Killeen, Texas, and were armed with an AK-47 and five other firearms. SWAT took down Bennett at the club and found him armed with a handgun as well. Pierre Laday Jones is also known as the rapper TTE Notti, and he sat down for an interview with No Jumper back in February.
