Gawd Status looks at the “Destroyed” structures

“Destroyed” is a gritty and insightful track by UK producer/rapper duo Gawd Status (made up of King Kashmere and Joker Starr ) which sees them reflecting on racial discrimination and oppression of black folks since time immemorial. The duo employs a somber and somewhat ominous backdrop as their canvas and proceeds to share their candid thoughts on wax for all to see. The result is a thought-provoking and insightful piece that everyone can relate to.

 

“Destroyed” is taken from the Shapes: Pyramids, a compilation put together by A&R, label founder, and renowned DJ Robert Luis. The project boasts names such as Anchorsong, The Seshen, Bryony Jarman-Pinto, J-Felix, Rhi and Flowdan and newer signings including Hemai, MELONYX, Anushka, Crafty 893 and Tiawa.
