Lil Wayne Puts Former Chef’s Lawsuit To Rest

Lil Wayne reached a settlement with his former private chef, who sued him in 2022. According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, chef Morghan Medlock worked out a deal with her former employer on Tuesday (March 5).

Medlock’s attorney informed Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Kristin Escalante of the settlement on Thursday (March 7). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lil Wayne avoided trial by settling with Medlock out of court. A trial was scheduled for July 8.

Medlock filed her lawsuit in December 2022. She accused Lil Wayne of discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

The chef claimed Weezy fired her for leaving work to take care of her injured child, who was hospitalized with a head injury. Medlock’s son suffered the injury while she was with the rapper in Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend 2022. The chef insisted she did everything possible to accommodate her boss despite her need to return to Los Angeles to be with her son.

“Though she was well aware of her job tasks and schedule and anticipated return date to Los Angeles, Ms. Medlock made her best efforts to coordinate her return to Los Angeles in conjunction with her job tasks and [Lil Wayne’s] scheduled return to Los Angeles, which would have allowed her to then go directly to care for her son,” her lawsuit contended.

Medlock booked a separate flight to get back to her son. Lil Wayne’s assistant asked Medlock if she was quitting, which she denied. The chef thought his team would understand her situation, but she got fired days later.

“Tell Chef Morghan this isn’t going to work,” Lil Wayne’s assistant told her, relaying a message from the diamond-selling artist.

Lil Wayne denied any wrongdoing. His lawyers said Medlock was fired for “legitimate, good faith, justified, nondiscriminatory and/or non-retaliatory business reasons.”

Footage Of Lil Wayne Face-Off With Security Surfaces After He Put Lakers On Blast

Video of Lil Wayne’s confrontation with security at a Los Angeles Lakers game emerged on Friday (March 1). The clip showed event staff preventing him from going to his courtside seats while the Lakers played the Washington Wizards at the Crypto.com Arena on Thursday night (February 29).

Lil Wayne condemned the Lakers for his mistreatment on social media. He assumed the issues stemmed from his past criticism of Lakers star Anthony Davis.

“Wow!” Weezy wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “Got treated like s### at the Laker game just now but I figured they’d do me that sooner or later either bc of what i said abt AD or simply bc they don’t fwm which I been got that vibe from em as well so all good I get it. Lil Wayne discussed the Lakers game incident during an appearance on Fox Sports 1’s Undisputed. The diamond-selling rapper claimed he only attended the game at the behest of a brand he’s promoting.

“I didn’t want to go to that game,” he told host Skip Bayless. “I was asked to be at that game. It was to promote the wardrobe I had on, which was also in cahoots with the NBA or whatever … I was asked to be there. That’s why I was like, ‘Wow.’ I didn’t expect the security guy to know I was asked to be there to promote something. But I would’ve rathered a smoother entrance.”

Lil Wayne stood by his social media comments on Undisputed. He thought his opinion of Davis caused problems at the arena.

“When I tweeted that, that was obviously raw emotions,” the former Cash Money Records artist said. “But there’s truth. I mean it’s all facts behind my beliefs and behind that opinion. I did believe that I felt like there was something about the whole A.D. thing that was kinda like, ‘We don’t need this guy.’”

Lil Wayne previously said the Lakers would not win another NBA championship unless they got rid of Davis. He made the remarks on a 2023 episode of Undisputed.

“If the Lakers want to be a championship team, in the future as well, they got to get rid of AD,” Wayne stated. On another episode, the Hip-Hop superstar also argued, “He ain’t done nothing for us, bro. That ‘bubble championship’ – that don’t count. That man has done nothing for the Lakers.”

Lil Wayne did not elaborate on exactly how the NBA franchise allegedly mistreated him. The diamond-certified recording artist has been seen sitting courtside in the Crypto.com Arena for Lakers games in recent months.

French Montana Drops “Mac & Cheese” Mixtape Ft. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Meek Mill & More

French Montana has finally dropped the fifth installment of his long-running mixtape series Mac & Cheese 5, nearly 15 years after birthing the original edition.

The “Unforgettable” hitmaker was initially set to drop last month (January 5), but French announced a delay in December while revealing a Lil Baby feature. He teased several other heavyweight guest appearances before dropping at midnight on Friday (February 23).

Mac & Cheese 5 includes a slew of artists, including two appearances from both Lil Wayne and Kanye West. The 21-track tape clocks in at exactly 60 minutes and also features Lil Durk, Meek Mil, JID, Westside Gunn, SAINt JHN, Buju Banton, Bryson Tiller and many more.

However, French Montana raised eyebrows by releasing six versions of Mac & Cheese. Alongside the original, fans can also listen to the acapella, sped-up, slowed-down, instrumental and the “Versions” variants, the latter of which is a compilation of the other five tapes and features 126 songs.

French Montana was trending on X (formerly Twitter) as fans shared their thoughts about dropping six versions of the same album. Check out some of the reactions below and stream Mac & Cheese 5 below.

“French Montana needs to be stopped,” a fan wrote alongside a screen recording showing dozens of tracks on the “Versions” Mac & Cheese tape.

Another fan shared a similar video, adding, “French Montana on everything I love u will be dealt with bro.”

“French Montana has released around 20,000 new versions of the songs from his new album Mac & Cheese 5,” one fan joked. “Kanye has so many French Montana songs on his page.”

YG Drops A Speaker “KNOCKA” With New Single

YG was one of the hottest names out of California when he came up in the early 2010s. He was celebrated — deservedly so — for projects like My Krazy Life and Still Brazy. Each provided tons of bangers and some terrific G-funk nods. However, his last few records such as STAY DANGEROUS, I GOT ISSUES, and etc. have not been nearly talked about as much. But YG is proving that he still has plenty left in the tank with “KNOCKA.”

This is his first solo release since 2022’s “Miss My Dawgs” with Lil Wayne. Over the last year or so, his singles have been collaborations with Tyga mainly. Tracks like “Brand New,” “PLATINUM,” and “PARTy T1M3” were all for their 2023 team effort Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist. But “KNOCKA,” according to Genius, is looking to be a promotional teaser for Just Re’d Up 3.

Listen To “KNOCKA” By YG

They believe it will arrive sometime in July of this year and it would be following up the second entry in the series which dropped back in 2013. On “KNOCKA,” YG is rapping with a lot of energy like always, but his flow may be the most impressive part. Every bar ends with some form of an “uh” sound, tying into the phonetic spelling of “KNOCKA.” The beat is also pretty addictive with a killer sample loop. Be sure to support YG with the link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “KNOCKA” by YG? Is this one of his better tracks as of late, why or why not? Does this get you excited for his upcoming project Just Re’d Up 3? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding YG. Quotable Lyrics:

The bottom, the bottom, but the top is where they spot ’em
And when you on the top, all the boppers let you dot ’em
Her daddy went home, now lil’ daddy got her
Slut her out proper like NLE Choppa
Got shotters on shotters on shotters on shotters
Wipe a n**** nose like, “N****, clean that snot up”
